Well actually, the judges gave Emily a high score and she tied with Lara at 4th place. The only reason she didn't make it to the group was because she had the lowest fan votes. Hybe wanted her in the group but sadly, majority of Dream Academy fans didn't like her. She never got enough support since the start of the show. Emily deserves better and I hope she'll be successful if she pursues solo career in the future.

I've been trying to figure out why Yoonchae fell under my radar so much throughout the series. It's only watching so much footage afterwards that I realise how much she deserves the spot. Anyone else feel the same way? Well, I'm now wondering whether it's something to do with screen time. I'm not 100% sure without re-watching, but maybe the series didn't show us as much of Yoonchae as the other girls, maybe because of language barrier mixed with her reserved personality? All I remember is focusing on Megan and Daniella (who I still absolutely stan!!!) because they showed so much obvious growth in the series and the abilities they reached became FIERCE. But just focus on Yoonchae in this. There's just something about the way she carries herself whilst dancing that feels so perfect and natural. She has every detail down, right to the tips of her fingers. I think Megan and Daniella have such a powerful style to their dancing, so maybe it's easier to praise them with their ability being so 'obvious' - but Yoonchae's movement has this impressive and kind of unique sense of fluidity! I wish I'd have noticed it earlier! But to be clear, I love them all and think they all deserve a place somewhere, even some of the contestants that didn't make it.

It still kills me that Emily didn’t make it. She literally killed every performance, went viral for each of her fancams on tiktok (sometimes more viral than the most popular contestants), and was such an all rounder. The voting system worked against her in the end, I fear. I hope she somehow gets the chance to be in a group because we’re missing out on seeing her dominate the stage, which is a shame.

Same. Emily really deserved to debut. She's objectively the best female dancer Hybe had. She's a professional who won a lot of awards since she was a kid. Her talent is gold. If you watch her other dance videos even before Dream Academy, she always has that strong charisma, confidence and versatility. It's so disappointing how the DA viewers didn't really like her and thinks she's just cutesy. She only has a small fandom but despite that, she managed to go viral in Tiktok and her talent was constantly praised by non-viewers. What a huge loss for Hybe. Hopefully, Emily will get a better opportunity in the future to shine brighter.

I just know Hybe. They’re gonna do a mini album with ‘Dirty Water’ and ‘Girls Like’ along with a new recorded pre-debut or official debut with MV. The style will be similar. Strong focus on high fashion and very intense choreography with lots of power / grace very similar to lesserafim. You will see
