Somerville is my go-to lake. In my opinion, it's underfished which is great for me. I target the big blues and hybrids via drifting. Good to see contact from this lake. Tight lines!

I love that lake too because I can park right in front of the water, unlike Conroe. There’s definitely less people on Somerville. Thanks for commenting!

That would be nice. This weekend we are heading to Seawolf Park in Galveston for Sheepshead. Join us rain or shine.

Cat fishing in Conroe has to wait until fall time, too much poison ivy and poison oak at the bridge. I got my taste of them this spring and finally it stopped itching. I will definitely let you know when it’s time. Thanks for commenting!

Just came across your 🎥 video. I enjoy fishing in Somerville where the dam is located. I was wondering where you were 🎣 fishing from on this 🎥 video. ✌️Peace.

another good day! I wish I could have made it out there with you. nice hybrids, and that first blue was a good one! I took a lot of fish from my freezer to my parent's this weekend. I should have gave them more than I did. I still have alot of catfish and whites left in my freezer. I guess I need to give some more fish away so I can restock? LOL. I have to get out there! great video!

It was a great day of fishing but it was pretty cold. Now, we need the rain to pass and get out there again. I also gave fish away.

About that same time of year now, and the lake is really low.........

You’re right, I was thinking it was lower last year but it’s low.

What were you using to catch cats and the hybrids of this video? And were the white bass also biting the same bait?
@donotdisturbfishing9 ай бұрын
White shrimp is the only bait I use. Seems like everything bites it.

Well done, I definitely have never done that well at Somerville! Were you just using live shad or a mix of baits?
@donotdisturbfishing2 жыл бұрын
Shrimp and worms but mainly shrimp, normally hybrids won’t eat shrimp but they are…strange
@donotdisturbfishing2 жыл бұрын
It was mainly the new moon, I believe. I will go out again this weekend and see what happens this time without the new moon.
@robertgoheen35902 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of using dead shrimp for hybrid bait that’s pretty neat. I get the worms though, putting on a live shad tipped with half a worm kills on the river.

It’s odd but after I caught one, I kept doing it. They must be hungry in this low water lake.
