Dear professor. A matter of definition: (1)this model is called "pi" due to the "pi" structure related to a "pi-filter", is it? (2) What the reason of the "hybrid" tag? Answer would be much appreciated, regards,

Sir rb is Base resistance at high frequencies right ?? You said its usually very small but Base resistance must be very high because its very low carrier region ??

Cu is just few pico F for early effect. Cpi minority carrier at base region few pico. Rb base connection, very small. rpi resistance between base and emitter terminal(terminal resistance) . ru is between b and c, very big.(also terminal resistance)

Use whichever you prefer, both are completely equivalent. so, we write Bib = gmVbe . But, whichever you chose, stick with that.

ID =Is(e^Vd/etaVt) for average current eta=1 now, differentiate w.r.t Vd on both sides ,then u get the desire result. and make Ie = Ic (approx)
