I love you guys but Dale said nothing will eat it post frost and Keith says let them eat it in a separate area to avoid prussic acid. Keep up the fine work. I could use some clarity. My 24 way mix is still looking great. God bless Green Cover. The millet is dominant for sure.

I understood them as saying that despite the poor forage quality post frost, you can still force your cattle to eat it while you wait for the prussic acid in your sorghum based stands to diminish.

Yeah, they will eat it after frost! Maybe not when it's tall and all dead. I will leave my comments also.

Need to graze it off hard when the frost hits, while the cattle will still eat it, and while the prussic acid (hydrogen cyanide) diminishes in the sorghum.

Wrong on the eating after a frost!!! My was only short and on the second regrazing. But it was like foster lettuce, LOL, BUT the cows ate it like it was fantastic. I would always underseed with Green Spirit and there was plenty of clover. I used Wonderleaf variety. Don't like the Tif leaf short . I'll try to see if there is some way to get those old pictures so I can show why you should be using grazing millet, not just the potential toxic sorghum. 🌻🌻🐝🐞🦋🦋🐞🐝🌻🌻
