I just purchased this kit and been reading a lot of people having it at a high point, i bought a civic si and the clutch is kind of stiff not sure if it’s a aftermarket clutch or not but I like how the travel is short to engage but when I go over 7rpms I sometimes get locked out on the next gear

Just bought this cmc. From the 8th gen forums, hybrid racing recommends pairing it up with a 05-06 rsx slave cylinder. Think I'll match the cmc with that (Edit: 02-04 rsx, not 05-06)

Hey do u know if it cures the notorious 3rd gear pop outs?
@rcysiFg22 жыл бұрын
I don't think it does, just helps with 2nd and 3rd gear lock out. That sounds like a tranny issue unfortunately. Some sort of synchro issue probably

I know this is an old video, How was install? Was gonna do hybrid slave/cmc replace on my 9th gen, if I pull in 1st sometimes a quick shift into 2nd will grind
@rcysiFg22 жыл бұрын
Np, if you're mechanically inclined, the install is relatively easy lol. Took about 45 minutes. But even if not its not to bad. If you buy it from HR they give you good instructions.

Hey, i have a similar problem where 3rd will lock out or grind at low rpm's, do you think thats a cmc problem or failing synchros?
@rcysiFg23 жыл бұрын
Ooo idk tbh. Doing that in Low rpms is strange. You could try new cmc, slave cylinder and new tranny fluid. See if that helps. Does kindof sound like a synchro issue tho.

Thanks for faithfully producing 8th gen content, I think I may have to get this. Did you experience any noticeable improvement after switching trans fluid to synchromesh or was it only after installing the CMC?
