I can rant, right!? Correa doesn't seem to know Linkin Park's album songs in-depth (audio-wise). The biggest difference in tone (which he said Chester was universally acclaimed to be rougher in contrast to this tribute's front man) wasn't actually very different at all, it's just that the original song uses a different equalization, namely a higher treble pitch (closer to an FM radio but not as extreme). To be blunt and dismissive, any talented tribute band can pull this off, especially when the original band leaned heavily on studio effects, as was the case with LP. The end result does seem different, but that's accounted mostly by the lack of post-processing effects. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of inflections to complain about, but that was entirely the wrong one to focus on. It's a bit like complaining that Chester sounded different in his live performances than he did on his audio recordings - yeah, no sh1t, Sherlock.
