You are a TREASURE. I am new to rigid heddle weaving, and the warping thing for my first project was definitely a challenge. Now having only seen these first two, I am already wanting to run back and get started! Thank you, Amy, for your clear instructions and demonstrations. The little tidbits along the way are like gems on a path. I am hooked on your videos. :)

Thank you for this 3 part series. Seemed overwhelming to me to even consider using a warping board but your step by step instructions are great. You have given me confidence in trying this!

Thx for taking the time to post these. Great explanation and I love your guide string method. One ideas is to use a different color guide string so it’s easy to see.

You’re soooo good at explaining the process-I use a floor loom and a horizontal warping reel but I totally enjoyed watching you

Love your explanation of warping boards. Can you use on a 32 in ashford loom as I hate the warping part of weaving I get a sore back when doing
@audreydeneui1925 жыл бұрын
If you use a VERY differently colored thread and a different texture/fiber content for the guide thread it's easier to tell the difference when you're tying up your warp. (I call it "ugly thread".)

Very clearly explained, I'm looking forward to trying this thank you. Have you tried this with a two heddle pattern? Or would that be too bulky?

I’ve wondered if it was possible to use the warping board more directly than the “indirect” method. One of the reasons being that I am notoriously unlucky with using a warping board. A mill, no problem, jus not the board.

So sometimes you cut the warp at the back beam, thread the holes, then tie the warp onto the back beam (apron rod) again? Not sure if I’m using correct terms but I assume you’ll know what I’m asking. ☺️
