​@MosCowfromrussia Either the price of lipo's and chargers electric ain't exactly cheap. I spend more on motors or esc's in a year then I do on a year supply of nitro. It all works out to be expensive no matter the path you take. Nitro CAN be fast. All depends on the engine and gears. Can't expect a cheap low powered motor with crap gears to keep up.

hahahaha. Yes, I literally got smoked! Well at least it was by a sickening nitro slash, it was worth it. BTW this particular slash VXL is the one from my very old videos where I ran it in snow and the ocean, I think the motor just has corrosion, needs to be replaced.

Electric has the capacity to go faster but nitro can be way more fun if you enjoy wrenching on something and tuning things to be a certain way. Electric is easier to maintain and is better for all around bashing and for top speed. That being said nitro cars are just cool. I wouldn’t want to maintain one but they are a blast to see out on the track

I ran nitro for 25 years, sounds great, but the neighbors hate it, and every time the weather changes, you have to retune it. Way to do much downtime for maintenance . I didn't enjoy it anymore and now I have Kraton 6s

Seems kind of fishy since the one that is known for being unreliable took off just fine and the one that is basically indestructible did moving inch I feel like he's promoting Nitro I had two nitro cars and it was constant tinkering just to keep them running now I only mess with electric in one of the cars I have is the one up there on the left the Traxxas Slash 2 wheel drive VXL and it has to be one of the most durable things I've ever owned I have put this thing through hell pretty much all weather conditions hot cold snow ice rain I've even tried to drive it across the lake I live next to a few times made it about 150 ft this last time kind of blows my mind in an electric RC car is waterproof I've jumped at 10 or 15 ft in the air more times than I can count I've went to skate parks dozens of times and the only times I've ever broken anything when I ran into a telephone pole at 50 mph and it just bent the front shocks and I was still able to drive it home since I've eliminated the slipper clutch and locked up the differential and put larger tires on it sometimes I do snap drive shafts from time to time but that's from my choice in parts and crazy driving Style so I'm not sure why this guy isn't working but I consider my slash like the labrador retriever of RC cars

Nitro,horse power,compression, porting and polishing. That's how you make power and go fast. BUT kv,amp hrs, lipo,brushless, I have no idea what that means. What I do know is my e cars work every time don't make a complete mess of my car and smoke every nitro car that shows up to play. This guy needs to plug in all three wires that go to the electric motor. Still playing with toys at sixty.

Eitherway, I prefer nitro and this was pretty unexpected to have a motor issue for this race. This channel has great vids on this exact slash btw if you want proof of how it actually ran before.

Hey man, this is the same slash vxl that I ran in the snow and the ocean a couple years ago, I’m thinking, maybe some of the saltwater cause some rust in or around the motor or the wires. I will plug all the wires and connect them back and let’s see what happens. as it looks now it probably needs another motor. And yes, I threw everybody for a loop with this one, it’s rare to see me running the only electric on the field you know.

Put two batteries with a Y connector and it’s hitting over 50 easily been doing this since the 80s baby boy I was around when the first slash hit the market you can’t tell me what they are capable of youngster.😂
