hey man! Happy nitro Weekend to you! That TC3 was out to OUTHANDLE the savage, and it did! Im thinking some clever suspension tuning for the next time and I could actually take a turn and not flip, lol!

I think it is time for me to get a Savage! Savage 25's have been popping up online here now and then. In a fairly good (running) condition for around 150 bucks. Not bad. Parts still widely available where i live. There is also a hobbyshop here that managed to get a load of new in box Octanes directly from HPI. They are a bit cheaper than what they where on release day. Might grab the octane too. Slowely getting back into nitro and gas powered vehicles. I already flew nitro helicopters!
@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
whats up my fellow nitro bro!! Im glad to hear you're getting back into the Nitro & Gas Gang!! Yes, a 150 dollar savage is a dead deal all day long! Most of them are in normal shape and if now, there is a ton of cheap new engines that will make them a runner!! You see even this half dead one is still out there burning nitro!!

Savage 25 was such a good looking truck man. I’ve been looking out for one. About to head to the local hobby shop and get a gallon of nitro. The sidewinder I’ve been buying is twice as much on Amain right now. The hobby shop I go to doesn’t even sell nitros without an order so I might go buy them out of there sidewinder fuel while I can 😂
@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
Hey my dude! Happy nitro Saturday to you! The sidewinder fuel is totally good also, pretty much all the modern fuel brands use the same VP methanol for their blends anyway. The differences these days come down to color and oil content or the most part. Do what it takes to burn nitro bro! you got this!!
@Rcdaddy3772 ай бұрын
@ ended up getting some vp it’s all they had man. I might go out and burn some tonight I just fired up my savage need to go buy some AA’s might have to take out a loan lol

@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
Hey bro! THat's what im saying too, I honestly did not think it would run more than 1-2 minute at best, but it was plenty to drive normally for the most part, compression not the best, but could have been much worse with those two huge scratches.

The Savage is à legend ⛽️⛽️👍👍
@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
thanks man! IM still thinking at this point If I should just run it the way it is (you know 1/4 tank at a time, lol), or try to re-pinch it?

Super nice tune and run on this engine!! It should be repinched!! These engines are amazing
@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
Hey bro! Happy nitro Saturday to you! I was thinking of a re-pinch too at this point. Even though it has those scratches it might still have some good life after and it seems like the scratches are not the cause for the low compression, cause it did run for a while.
@tarekkhoury53842 ай бұрын
@ yesss!! It certainly is worth it on these engines they last for a very long time and are so beautiful to tune

Hey, my dude, I totally agree and honestly, I didn’t even think it would fire up, but it managed to run fairly well, and really only shut off one single time during this entire video. the low compression really helps it to fire up easy but then it’s a little bit downhill from there, lol. @hybrid32494Ай бұрын
hey my dude! thanks for checking out this video, totally agree with you! RPM is the way to go when common parts break, all this aluminum is total waste, looks good, but not necessary. Better to spend money on more nitros or a proper engine.

Ive been battling a issue with my savage 21 lately every thing is good on it but it seems that the front wheels turn/pull the truck more than the rear is spinning?
@hybrid32494Ай бұрын
Hey buddy! It definitely sounds like you have lost some or all power to the rear wheels. These truck have full time 4WD and usually if you're missing a pin anywhere in the back you will experience the kind of power loss to the rear wheels. I would check each axle and driveshaft and wheel hub for the pins, then let me know after that.

Can I ask you this question. Please? I was actually going to buy a savage XL 5.9 Today, but I just read a few articles that they are having differential gear problems, and transmission, do you know anything about this? I trust your wisdom
@hybrid324942 ай бұрын
Hey man, im glad to give you some of my own advice for sure!! Well I've never run into ANY diff gear issues on any Savage XL in my life (so far). The newest version is fine and many of the early issues people complain about have been solved at this point. here is a link to the newest XL model - I highly recommend it - alnk.to/4qMbft7
