hey my fellow nitro guy!! The price for a gallon is not bad at all right now. I was paying almost 50 bucks about 2 years ago, now it was only 35 plus tax for this really high quality fuel. In reality this gallon could last me close to a year, so overall it's acceptable, you know. I gotta call Redcat again and ask them more questions as a test, LOL. that'd. be interesting.

The reason it's bogging down is the high speed is too lean. The engine can't bring in enough fuel to compensate for the throttle response. People always say the low speed is too rich and when you accelerate you flood the engine with fuel and it bogs down. That is bs, it's usually the high speed on these thirsty big blocks. Just a tip, keep the vids coming!

I do too!!, but not daily. That whole drink is only about 27 grams of protein. Its just whey protein which is a quick way to get a serving of easy to absorb protein into the body ASAP. OFcourse nothing beats real food, but there is no way I can eat enough food protein to get the daily amounts I need.

I remember paying $3.00 per gallon for 15%-20% nitro back in my day. This was a house brand at Bernie's Hobby Shop in Burlington, NC. Ran it in my Fox 35 stunt powering a Sterling (?) Ringmaster. Byron's was top brand when it came out a few years later too. Also flew a few Byron's Originals 1/4 scale planes a little later too. Last was a Cap 21 I think. A friend had a Byron's 1/4 scale Pitts bi-plane flown on mode 1 so he wouldn't let me take off or land as I learned and flew on mode 2. I enjoy your videos. You have quite the style.👌😮😁👍👍

Dude it’s been atleast 13-16 years since I’ve run nitro lol...... I just came back from the hobby shop yesterday. Had them work on my mini e Revo vxl. Had to get the stock 2080 steering servo replaced and had them mesh the gears together. I also picked up the two mod 1 36 tooth and 40 tooth spur gears from them. I’m going to get one of them installed on the big mamba monster e Revo shortly. I can’t wait.

If your fuel tank has a vacuum issue there should be a little screw on the bottom of the lid to the gas tank screw that screw a little bit tighter to make the rubber Seal Seal's of a tighter

i looked up byron fuel online. cheaper than the top fuel that i am using for my new revo 3.3. it is cheaper which would be great for me but should i stick with top fuel. if i do switch will a break in process be reqiured. also what are reasonable priced temp gauges and gps speed meters?

Bro I'm having the exact same issue with mine!!! I repaired the clutch, and went out to tune, but no matter what I set the needles to, it always cuts out suddenly when I am accelerating after about 2 seconds. Btw I have taken apart the carb and inspected the fuel tank and lines, they seem to be good. Any suggestions?

you probably saw my other comment on your own video, after I changed the carb the bogging down went away. I'd say these stock carb on the origin motor are the reason, noting we can do. I noticed the high speed needle valve does not have any washers between the carb body and the fuel fitting, I'm 100% sure that is the issue.

a little info, just so the so called youtube champions dont get to big a head. if your running these types of nitro vehicles, rtr or semi used repair vehicles, the norm is from most hobby shops is 20% nitro, but the more nitro content the more heat, the more exact tune will be needed the more sandpaper like fluid your dumping into piston and sleeve, which equals much more wear on internal parts. most companies sell 10% nitro car fuel like traxxas in quart or gallons but usually it has to be ordered. less nitro less wear, less friction inside motor, more reliable lasting engine. on these types of motors and generics rtr the 10% nitro content is barely detectible speed wise and acceleration times. you probaly wont be able to tell unless your in the A main at the roar regionals racing. when you buy a all out nitro motor like OS or calarri, or LRP, LOSI, meant for kit A main racing then 20% up to 35% nitro is good for all out racing high compression engines. youll find 10% nitro traxxas fuel is pretty good and will make all your engines run cooler and tune easier on the stock glow plug from factory. nice truck for the money.

hey man, thank you for the comment and watching!! I've always run 20% and never any issues, even 30% will be fine in reality. Ive tried 15% nitro too, and the engine barely gets to 190 degrees, and it's tough to get it to it's top RPM range.

Hey man great running videos enjoyed the tuning tips it helps. The RedCat seems to be running pretty good considering everything. Nitro fuel here is relatively the same price in 🇨🇦 dollars so I think we might be paying a little less for it then you for one reason. I know one thing we don’t have those delicious tacos from Burger King though so you got us on that hahah 😷😅. Pretty cheap though if you need some food on a budget. what do you think I can do at this point? The spring is just not that strong it seems. I can try a larger O-Ring around the lid, that's a way to repair old fuel tanks thats don't seal well.

@@hybrid32494 I have never found a remedy that will actually fix it I just put a bigger tank on it off of a Savage for 4.6 so it will run longer off of a half a tank because when it hits a half a tank that's it doesn't matter what tank you have on it. I tried replacing it with a stock Redcat tank did not help replaced it with an xtm Mammoth tank did not help put the time from The Savage 4.6 on it it just allows it to run longer because it's a big tank it was still stopped around the half.

@@hybrid32494 it's not your low speed, any time i have ever had a truck buggy whatever do that in 20 years of nitro it's to lean on high. Also check if there's any restrictions in fuel flow. I have 20 nitros and 2 1/5 gas, i don't do electric other than vintage electrics and 1 slash i take to town to run.. It IS to lean, by fuel restrictions or setting.

I have a good infrared temp gun, I just didn't use it in this video, good idea though. I will use it to fine tune the motor when I get a new fuel tank for this. It seems to not be pressurized well enough at this point.

Did you notice how thin the fuel lines on this model are? The reason I didn't richen the HSN is because it already bogs down so much on a cold engine and the engine has a tough time reaching higher temps, that's why I leaned it out, but it does not matter, the Vacuum leak it making it erratic. Oh yeah, that is the stuff that separates the good engines from the bad ones (as i recently discovered, lol)! There's indeed something leakng, the fuel system isn't pressurized properly. Which is good for us, since now we probably get another video about how to solve that problem :D That taco looked bland, and i've never even seen one myself, lol!

hey dude!! Yup, the fuel tank is for sure letting in air, otherwise how would all that fuel be spilled after each run. Also did you notice how long the fuel lines are, there is no need for them to be that long. They also seem really thin and might not be able to supply enough fuel at high RPM, that possible too. Next I am trying the new Burger King Meatless whopper then have here in the USA, have you heard of that in your area?

@@hybrid32494 Thin fuel lines are indeed not good for high RPM! I can live with the length, but this is a bit too much. I've heard of Burger King, but i don't know if there's one in my area. I know we have a McDonald's, but that doesn't come close to your McDonald's (as i was told by a colleague who went to the US and Canada). It's horribly expensive here and the portions are so small, i couldn't keep one of my canaries alive with it, lol! A meatless whopper?? That just sounds like blasphemy! They'd better invent a bacon salad ;-)
