I've had high idle happening to nitro's all of the time and man is it annoying because when you turn it out too far the Engine will die when you apply throttle and stuff but feels like the gasoline Engines are alot more stable. That raminator might be slow but it makes it more scale and I mean it's got a 49cc Engine so it doesn't lack the Power and as far as I can tell it does truly put out the Power!

hey brother!!! It turns out the manual kill switch is good, I though mine was bad because I though it would cut the kill switch as well. But it seems to literally only go to the motor. Eitherway I had to so far adjust the reverse servo linkage, so when you get yours going I'll have fixes worked out for al that.

How do you go about lowering the temperature ?? Is that needed ?? Or is it the idle adjustment you change , which changes both?

hey man!! In this case the idle was a little high and since the car was not moving it probably heated up a lot more than it normally would while driving. I've heard from others that this type of engine runs hotter than the other typical 1/5 gas motors, I will monitor it over time.

Where do you have your fuel mixture screw set at? Every time I try to lean mine out for a good top end it conks out if I try to punch the throttle. I've tried raising the idle but it didn't help. Also keep an eye on the receiver switch. Mine died within the first couple of tanks. Primal is sending me a new one.

hey man!! The real issue with this Carb is that it only has a single screw (high speed needle) adjustment. It sounds like when you lean it out if performs poorly on the low end, which makes sense. I checked the factory needle was set to about 1.5 turns out from closed plus or minun 1/4 turn. At this point I am running around 1.25 turns from closed. Also it appears we don't have to run 25:1 in this thing, I've read posts saying you can easily run upto 50:1 and it'll be fine. I will go ahead and move to 30:1 and eventually to 40:1 and report back.

@@hybrid32494 Yeah I figured it had to due with the carb not having a low speed needle. Primal says they are going to offer a modified card with a low speed adjustment. I was wondering about the oil ratio, it seems pretty high. I'll look for your update on it because I would rather use less oil if I can.

yup, the 2 needle carb would be our only way out of this issue. I read on FB the TMR guy said you can easily use 50:1 or even more. But i would not really go above 40:1 at this point without it being 100% confirmed. Plus This engine seems to run pretty warm, have you noticed that?

Yeah it does seem to run warm. I haven't been able to do any real temp checks as my temp gun broke but once I get another one I'll do some tests to see what I come up with.

Also I don't know if you tried the other gear ratios but did just for the heck of it. I was impressed with how fast it went with the top gear ratios for its size. It had no bottom end but I with a mod engine it would scream.

yes, if you order it make sure to get a good credit card offer to save some cash on the purchase. There usually are new cards where you spend 3K and get around 500 off in the cycle you pay it off in. But honestly, I'd recommend you get a basic ROVAN or King Motors Baja as your first gas RC. you will learn a whole lot on that and still really appreciate the engineering. trust me. check rovanrc.com they have free shipping, terrific prices and great customer support.

hey dude!! that depends on what is available for this in the near future. At this point I'm not aware of any better off the shelf motor you can buy for this. Although when I eventually install the speed gears it might be adequate. We will see. I will do GPS speed meter tests on all this soon too.

Yep, I did say that in a previous video. I guess when I was using them as the break in stands I just reversed the tire direction, plus I only did really slow test runs to crush the WPL and the chicken. LOL.

You can use regular 2stroke engine oil

hey man, yes, you're right. I use the highest quality 2-stroke motorcycle racing oil you can get. It's KLOTZ BENOL, which is a castor oil. It's known for it's cooling properties and is de-gummed (to reduce carbon buildup and gumming up over time or in the cold). It's pretty cheap as well.

It's honestly pretty hard to even move it with my finger, I don't see how it can close on it's own. Unless the people who claim that it was closing didnt have it fully open in the first place. but eventually I will remove it.

BTW, the brakes on this as they were set from the factory will cause the truck to front flip, I've seen it many times. When I lowered the Channel 2 EPA of the brake servo to 87% it seems to have lowered the total brake force. I might go to 88% to match the back to the future license plate tho. LOL.

I didn't know that, but I did notice it. I guess it may be because they get driven in reverse so often and need some traction there as well. hey bro! super glad you saw this video! I put together a while playlist on the assembly and run of this truck. I still have it and nothing really let me down on it. SO far I only had a steering servo issue and some cracked fuel lines over time. You Can't kill it.
