My RTX 27 Duratrax war Hed has the 2 speed and I had ordered it with a option upgrade of the reverse set up I played with it an bashed it in the Sand in a Park with River sand Beach and fune sand parking lot. I fogged the motor back in the 80s and it sat ever since. Had a run away and it got put away because it's so big. And used my Raze Buggy until several sets of tires burned off and the Tiger 27 engine blew up and it is gone from a break in and it was stolen. I truly loved the Raze Buggy it was turns of fun thanks Dale

Thank you Victor!! Dimitri you rock as always my guy! Me and my brother used to put I❤ Back Street Boys bumper stickers on the back of our buddies cars and trucks. Boyz to Men, all the little boy bands of the time. We had bumper sticker wars. Ours buddies would get so pissed when they'd find out and try to retaliate so we'd retaliate with shoe polish the whole car I love Back Street Boys or Honk or I Brake for boys. It was so funny and good times.😅

Thanks for the information and the fun vibes I have many nitro RC Duratrax Mostly.and many Vintage RC Tanya was many of my first back in early 80s and several Traxxas and on Team associates MT 10 . I have not Run my Nitro's in a very long time. Thanks Dale

I wouldn't be surprised if the engine was left at tdc and allowed to cool. Always turn the flywheel so the piston is at BDC when it shuts down to avoid losing pinch

Hey man thanks for checking out this video. I think you are correct about the piston being left in the wrong position, this motor seems to be very new with very low run time it is unlikely that it has such low compression from just a normal running conditions, the prior owner for sure neglected to put the first thing in the correct position.

I would try to repinch it using a cookingplate to heat up the liner then put a steel hoseclamp on the topside of the liner make it tight but not to tight and let it cool down and check the pinch. when the pinch is not tight enough repeat the proces until it does. i did it once and it worked great.

Hey dude thanks for checking out this video, the truck seems to be in good shape but it appears the engine is quite low compression, it will need to be re-pinched or replaced soon to be drivable.

What type of a seal does Traxxas use on the back of their motors

Hey dude good news I got the linkage said in the mail today, I really appreciate it thank you once again. The Traxxas motor is like most big block engines use a rubber O-ring on the back plate, it almost never gets damaged during repairs.

hey dude! yes man this brand is USA based at the time. Very rare to see them outside of the USA. They made some great models which were not clones and actually had some good flair to them.
