Good video, great info! At 71, I'm proud to be a Nitro Gang newbie. 4 nitros, 2 gas.

Seems like the stock pipe is much better for the 3.3

hey my dude! Happy nitro weekend to you! - Yes, I richened the crap out of that 3.3 too, still ran poorly. After I tried the stock pipe the issue was solved, it's still a mystery. More proof th of just how great the stock traxxas exhaust systems really are.

@ unbelievable, how can one not love Traxxas

I had the same setup on my Revo 3.3, but I eventually replaced it with the stock configuration. I was never a fan of how loose the connection was between the header and engine-it was always shifting around.
@hybrid324945 күн бұрын
Hey brother! Yes, the stock pipe is great and no leaks from the convenient header design, definitely a good proper fit. The only benefit of the spring header is it reduces the chances of the header breaking, which was exactly my issue. sickening!
@davidfischer78955 күн бұрын
I think the loose connection was the problem. You can't tune it if it's constantly changing.

Thank you for the video, ive been debating changing out my revo exhaust. But I think I'll just leave it alone
@hybrid324945 күн бұрын
hey my dude. Yes, the stock revo pipe is very good, and it's already a proper dual chamber pipe which is literally no different than this THS. Let's face it, if the stock pipe lets the revo hit 45 MPH, it's pretty much great!

Hey brotha, The Online Hobby Guy here. It may help to make your fuel back pressure line 2 to 3 inches longer than your actual fuel line. You can try looping it with zip ties before it goes to the tank. If you're not a fan of that idea possibly try leaning out the low or mid speed needle a tad and continue richening that high-speed a bit more. Much love man ☝️💯💯

O man that’s a shame because that pipe looks and sounds awesome. I guess sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Thanks for the video Dude 🔥🔥🔥👍

Damn I've looked for that set for 2 yrs. I have a THS for my revo but not sure which Ths it is. The stinger and mount on the pipe are in the right place but its larger and uses the larger header. Not sure what it was originally for but runs nice with the picco .26 big block! 💯

👍👍 Good info on the ths pipe!

Thanks for the update video. At first I was thinking it was the crap TRX carb but it wouldn't make sense that it ran fine before the new pipe. Maybe you just got a bum pipe? I'd be curious to see it on another Revo to see if it acts the same. I have a THS on my T-Maxx 3.3 and it runs fine. Also have one waiting to go on my RC8B4 and another for my LD3.
@FeherRob5 күн бұрын
Great content man! I wanted to try the tuned Traxxas pipes for Traxxas Tmaxx on the Revo. Just might look a little odd or fit poorly. They seem to make a difference!
@PIZZA_and_NITRO5 күн бұрын
Maybe the exhaust pressure in the chamber wasnt pushing enuff fuel at high rpm to the tank to keep it pressurized? I had a tuned pipe a few years ago and never could get it right. Its like having a whole other set of high and low needles to tune imo
@nomusicrc5 күн бұрын
Did you need to do any adjustments with the pipe itself to make it run better
@hybrid324945 күн бұрын
hey bro! this gonna be the fastest reply ever! I tried various tune setting and it still ran poorly and too hot. Eventually I just went back to the original pipe and problem solved. Some comments said they also had issues, so it's still a mystery. You saw how crazy rich that engine was already, still ran lean.

@hybrid324945 күн бұрын
hey bro! Yes, I've had that pipe a long time, but have not actually tested it out until now. Obviously THS is out of business at this point so there is a low chance of people actually trying to buy a new one.

@hybrid324945 күн бұрын
Totally agree man! I could not figure out how to make this THS run well, went back to stock and still having a good time and not trying to re-tune to compensate for some sort of air leak. Traxxas knows their pipe tech!

@robinilsa20573 күн бұрын
You ain’t got girls in the background, you photoshopped yourself😂 Seriously though, the brakes are pretty bad and you might need a new throttle to not have worse brakes, the tuning isn’t great but I wouldn’t own one though, good video though 👍
@hybrid324943 күн бұрын
Hey man, thanks for watching. That Photoshop picture was something a viewer did just for me as a joke, I included it solely for the purpose of the joke. That particular reel ran fantastic with the stock Traxxas pipe, I tried every type of tune possible, and it still didn’t run well. I just wound up going back to the original pipe and it’s fine now.
@robinilsa20573 күн бұрын
I understand and I laughed at it actually😂 Melissa bout to give you beating if she sees you with another girl in your picture 😂 you should review the Mugen Seiki MTX-2 next because that car does excellently on road wise, the Jato 2.5 is okay but tuning is hard because you need a manual that tells you that and if you cannot find that, it’s impossible to get the right tune for that engine, you have to mess about the tuning for it and listen for the engine to fine tune the engine, the throttle linkage is okay on a old servo but new servos can break it due to fast gearing in the servos that has more power to rip off the old linkage, you might need to start 3D Printing Parts though…
@JohnSteed-gs5bb5 күн бұрын
Interesting! Maybe this pipe was (and of course still is) a scam..
@bmxshippy5 күн бұрын
Or just ditch nitro so you can actually have a quick and fast RC. I’ll never understand why people still run nitro. They’re slow and sound like a slightly pissed off weedeater
@mattb69455 күн бұрын
I agree with most of this but the sound and smell is what I like about nitro.. like a 2 stroke dirt bike or snowmobile...electric is the way to go though if you want raw power
@bmxshippy5 күн бұрын
@ there’s nothing cool about a high pitched weedeater.
@mattb69455 күн бұрын
That's funny...true kind of, buts it's distinct and when you hear it, it brings a smile to your face. Try adding a twin hammers pipe to your weed eater your neighbors will love you.

Oh but so worth it I should have mentioned for both ... go nitro and modify those 2 stroke small motors
