It’s really annoying when the commentators don’t know the athletes. It was Oneika McAnuff on the 2nd leg for Hydel, Kerrica Hill on the 3rd and Brianna Lyston on the 4th. It’s not hard to know who these girls are. They are World Champions. This is a prime example of Americans only knowing their own athletes. The Penn relays is an international track meet, where Jamaican schools are prominent. These athletes hold the most wins and the most records, it's time we learn who they are.
@beistrong86352 жыл бұрын

@bacl44872 жыл бұрын
@@beistrong8635 Of course I remember. I know it can be hard but come on that was a big mix up. This is a championship of America race. These girls aren't new here. I wouldn't be so annoyed if it wasn't a consistent pattern across so many Penn Relays. But also, it's their job and this was one of the biggest races of the entire meet. Regardless of it was a Jamaican or American school they should have known who was running, and yes people can make mistakes or not realize there was a switch up, but at least one of them should have known enough to correct that whilst they are still running, this was a 4x4. The race organizers need to do better briefings especially for these big races. I know they only said Oneika's name wrong because it was spelt wrong on the the sheet. You can see the wrong spelling on the results website. Again, all of this can be avoided if they get commentators who at least know the big athletes.
@seanwilson55162 жыл бұрын
You think a Jamaican commentator would know all the athletes from American schools? Your delusion has to be innate. I think, if Brianna Lyston, decides to concentrate on the 400 meters, she'll be great! But the problem is, most Track and Field athletes, that are good in both the 200 and 400 meters, will choose the 200 meters, over the 400 meters! That's what happened to Allyson Felix. She was so good in the 200 meters, so she decided to make the 200 meter her baby, over the 400 meters! If an athlete wants to be great in the 400 meters, there's a whole different type of training involved. There's several days, when you go home from practice, from the 400 meter, where your body doesn't feel well! There are days, you even vomit, after a race! The 400 meter sprint, is the hardest race to train for, and the hardest race on the human body to run! That's why so many athletes, try their best, to steer away from the 400 meters! It's just not a fun race to run!

No she doesn't like the 400 and I think she could make the Olympics team in 200 in the future

Definitely she will make the Olympics team in the future but my point was will she be able to beat Namibia’s Mboma who is of the same age and already has been at the Olympics and won silver ? So I feel if she wants gold at the Olympics she should consider 400 as well to better her chances

clayton is not beating Lyston by no hugh distant so why she must give that up when she is very competitive, thats like saying elaine should have stuck with the 200 and leave shellyann with the 100

@@hansillbuntin4095 if u look at those 2 girls’ history , u will find out that tina has been always beating brianna with that little gap maybe for the past 7 years, their videos are here on you tube , and it’s not only tina, there is brianna Williams as well who is only 20 , so the 200 nd 100 journey will always be tough, my point is she shldnt give up, we definitely need her for 100 nd 200, but she should try the 400 as well just to increase her chances of an individual Olympic gold
