Please lose the metal rail in the 4th lane. Understand it is to be more fare to the inside runners. There is surely a safer way to do it - maybe a foam rail. In addition to the girl with the broken leg, I saw another race where the runner slipped on the rail and landed on their back on the rail. MUST DO MORE TO PROTECT THE RUNNERS!
@njpme2 жыл бұрын
The rail has to be there. Lane 4 is the lane where it's 400m around the track on the 4×400 relay and up. The others are less or more for relay purposes.

That was total dominance and well done to the girls. Speedy recovery for our holmwood athlete that was injured and so sorry to see that tragic incident but it's so disgusting to know that someone could even think of put hat bar in a track field for athletes to compete on,I'm so disappointed for a country like USA to hv such a field for this annual competition.
@kevonrose62962 жыл бұрын
The only word that comes to mind whenever I see that metal rail is "EVIL." How could you logically implement such a thing on any track, especially in the middle of the track knowing that runners become really light on their feet when running and a simple touch on even a soft surface can cause them to fall? Runners will always try to use the inside lane to strategically run a better race, so how is it that no one in a "FIRST WORLD COUNTRY" at an international meet not realize that this is harmful?
@billbenedict87622 жыл бұрын
Lane 4 on the Franklin Field track is the equivalent to Lane 1 on every other track that you have seen. The stadium that has been there for over 100 years limits the amount of lanes the track can accommodate. Thus, there are only 6 lanes outside of the rail. Lanes 1-3 were added to accommodate additional runners, are less than 400 meters, and are only used for races less than 400 meters (including the 4x400 relay). Every track must have a metal rail along the inside lane for times to be official - it just looks odd to you since that rail usually is inside of lane 1 and you probably don't notice it as much
@kevonrose62962 жыл бұрын
@@billbenedict8762 It’s possible that you’re correct; however, as someone who has ran races in the Jamaican national stadium, I must say that I’ve never encountered this hazard.

@sherenesherwood23142 жыл бұрын
@@zaheliadreamdoll594 Hardly 19. It is because of the new system PEP and GSAT, why you have high school students who are nineteen. Before Jamaican students leave high school at 15, 16 and 17. But to create a regulation you now enter high school at age 12, 13 and 15. Our high school starts at grade 7 graduation is grade 11. Then lower and upper six that used to be optional, now it is mandatory and this is considered to be college.

Seeing athletes do their 10, 20 or up to two minute legs and thinking how can injuries happen? Well, these aren't the only races they run, plus training and also putting it all on the line for a fellow teammate. All these runners did awesome. Beautifully👏👏👏said. The young speaker spoke well even under fatigue and stress. We must ensure that these young ladies and men speak as clearly as possible every time,it's important in this wide world. Quick notation, Don't answer these Americans or no other individual if you don't hear clearly what they ask and also make sure twice, that they understand the question that you're asking them. They told me yes on many occasions and when push comes to shoved they don't. This is very very important to learn about these Americans and the others living in this country. It it not what we expected America to be. You're genna find out quickly things here is way below par than what we do in Jamaica 🇯🇲 being a so-called first world country🙄.

I know u have a subscription system, but idk how you could do it better. For the Carifta games, sportsmax also had a subscription system but they still uploaded the videos on time.
