For all the intellectuals out here in comment section, there is a thing called 'hierarchy'. Dst. Collector is the person responsible for functioning of entire district administrative machinary. If subordinates are not showing respect, it is not possible to run any Organisation or department, either public or private. When the British and Canadian bureaucrats attend any meetings the subordinates greet them with handshake, here we do it with namasthe. A small example - when a CIA head in United States moves the security he gets is on par with the Vice President. Have some basic knowledge before commenting stupid bs.

He decided to do some kind of selfless service by riding Toyota fortuner, not moving to US and joining Indian administrative service instead. Good human resource is developed by giving opportunities and quality education, not by relying on brand names and past laurels of select few. Administration and coding are different things and require different skillsets. We had Manmohan and Kejriwal with branded credentials. We know how competent and honest they were in PM and CM role. With 1.4 billion population India can fill MAANG companies and still have people left who are competent to serve as bureaucrats so lets not get carried away by their past laurels. They are here because they value this job higher than the previous one. For some it may be due to potential for corruption or power or simply being able to serve people. They have taken an informed decision, no need to feel obliged. If some one is looking for Dollar income in Rupees while staying in India then he is better living off in the US. Don't forget he also had the power of reservation without it he wouldn't have got as many opportunities, he owes to the country more than what country owes to him.

@@VishvaguruIndia No bruh you are not correct, Let me tell you there are typically 3 pillars that work under the Indian constitution namely the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary, The President is the legislative head, the prime minister is the executive head and the Chief Justice of India is the Judicial head, they all have equal powers no one is supreme in Between then and this power comes from Article32 R/W Article 226 and Article 132, a judge can issue any order against IAS, IPS, IRS and give direction that has fo be followed by the center, but an IAS or any IPS cannot give any order to any judge even a magistrate which has lowest power in district court can punish CM/PM and put him behind bars which did in Manish Sisodia case, the magistrate ordered CBI to arrest deputy chief minister and refuse to grant bail and till now he is suffering. A Judiciary aspirant.
