Today I made this biryani. I couldnt find mace but used all other menitoned ingredients. I must tell that it came out awesome...the best biryani of all I made. And yes it did came out without sticking to the bottom of pan. Thank you chef for this wonderful recipe.

Chef, you are SO wonderful. I am glad that you were not timid with the spices and the salt. I hate when something is not salty or flavorful enough - there is no fixing it. And I only use fried onions, too in my biryani. I puree onions with garlic and ginger to marinate the meat. So in this way I dont need to add anymore during the cooking and it doesnt come out bitter.

I made this dish this weekend and it turned out perfect! I made it with goat meat instead of lamb, but the instructions you gave still worked well. Thank you! Reminds me of my mom's biryani all over again!! I intend to make it for her when I go home next week; I'm sure she'll be surprised!

Thanks for the video, i cooked your recipe last night it was awesome and the tips about adding oil and salt to boiling rice helped. Also used a thick base deep pan to cook biryani. Very helpful and tasty in the end. Only thing i added was ginger garlic paste to it. Would definitely try your other recipes.

BEST RECIPE EVER!!!! TRIED IT AND TURNED OUT GREAT Get young lamb leg, make big chunks, rub biryani masala, grind yogurt with ginger, garlic and whole spices and coat the pieces. Cook rice 50% with Salt and spices, put meat in thick bottom pan (if possible) top it up with fried onions and rice. Let it cook for an hour on very slow flame.

Thank you for this wonderful recipe Vahchef. I cooked this for the first time ever and it came out perfect. I added ginger and garlic paste but everything else, I followed exactly as you did. Your video helped me overcome my fear of making kachi dum biryani. All my life I have been cooking pakki style, thinking if I use raw marinated meat, the meat and rice will never cook together in the same time. But I did it!!! Thanks to your video!
