Chef Thumma, I tried this pakhi biryani. It was wonderful. I only cooked the soaked rice for about 2-3 mins in boiling water before i drained it. Soaked basmati rice cooks too soon when dropped in boiling water. Thanks for the wonderful videos!

Thank you so much for the video....I tried this recipe and the biriyani came out great.....This method is much better over the hyderabadi biriyani.....because the bottom of the vessel wont burn and the chicken is not sticked to it.....

As always, Hat's off Chef. You are an inspiration. the only thing I can say is, you used the traditional way to block the steam (using flour seal). it's little tricky to clean later. what I do is use foil to cover the pan and then put the lid on. in that way, steam doesn't escape and again, lid puts the pressure for a tight seal :-). Thank you.

Sanjay, I am your great fan, I almost do cooking following your videos :) I have just one question, every time I add yogurt as shown by you, it actually kind of gets spoiled like spoiled milk, how do I avoid that. I tried biryani and moment I added yogurt it was spoiled and split. Please advice.

Can anyone tell me is he using dried onions or do I fry it myself first??? He also mentions this in his recipe for the biryani masala. Also, I have cumins but its not exactly black. Could I use it instead of the BLACK one or will it change the taste dramatically? Also, how much rice is he making? 2 or 3 cups ??
