“New Subscriber”. I Love Hydrangeas & for the past 3 years I have purchased several & they always die!! I had some in front of my house and they didn’t survive. So I decided to plant 3 more proven winners in my backyard because they would get 4-6 hours of morning sun & afternoon shade. They were pricey too. $75.00 Each. This year only one came back. I really tried hard to keep them watered, fertilized, mulched, placed some large rocks around them to keep my dogs away from damaging them. But I was disappointed that I only have one. I do add acid because I love the blue hydrangeas the best. I live in Utah zone 6. Do you think they need more sun?? My house faces North in the front yard, that’s why I moved them to the backyard to get more sun.

HI Kelly, Thanks for all of your great tips. I live and garden in Staten Island, NY. I'm a fairly new gardener. Last winter my mophead hydrangeas got zapped in the late April freeze and I didn't get many blooms. This year, I see new green leaves at the base of the plants but the buds are a dark red/brown color. Will these buds open up to form viable flower heads or is it a sign that the buds are gone'ers? Thanks much.

I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for all the information you give us about Hydrangeas. I do not know what type I have in my backyard because I dug them up at my father-in-law’s house because he was just going to mow them over.😮 is there a way to find out what type of hydrangea they are? Penny from northern Indiana

My hydrangea had only a couple flowers last summer, this winter was very cold, and this summer I have three branches that show green when scraped but no buds have shown and no new life at the base of the plant, is it dead or should I keep waiting to see what happens with the stems that do show some life? Thanks!

Hi, is it really detrimental to a Peony plant to move it? I’m so scared to move it, but it needs to be moved. Will it affected blooming for several years? I purchased a house and it has this stunning Peony that gets really big, but it’s directly next to the driveway. I’m so scared to move it because it’s gorgeous

Hey. Love your videos. I have a hydrangea that was in bloom when I bought it a little over a year ago. It hasn't bloomed since. What I am seeing though is something small in the middle of the leaves. I am not sure if they are blooms forming or if they are new small leaves growing

Question: I live in Beaufort, SC & we had 4 nights that went below freezing & I am getting lots of new grain my mop heads but lots of sticks on old wood with nothing on them. I don't think there is any hope for them. Been trimming the dead sticks off . I have about 100 of them.Hope I am doing the right thing

Hi friends can someone give me a tip? I just got a lot of flowering plants a few weeks ago and they are blooming beautifully but the stems are so short that I can’t cut them to bring them inside because the stem is so short it wouldn’t even reach the water if I put them in a vase :( does anyone know how I can help grow the stems longer? Thanks!
