I have owned a Velocity 22 ft outboard with a 280 on it since 1988 and the thing still runs with the new boats. Keith staub sold me the boat back in the day. Steve you've outdone yourself again. Remember the around marathon battle with Apache?

Having owned, raced and enjoyed family fun in Steve Stepp boats for 4 decades, I am so excited he's making a serious fishing boat with his most efficient Hydra-Stepp hull. This hull gets you up on plane quicker, floats shallower and rides better with better fuel efficiency. The interior layout really looks well thought out and I can't wait to see one in person. I love small outboard fishing boats, and this one's now at the top of my wish list. The stability & overall fishability appears to be class leading for sure. Stepp does it yet again!

It would be great if you could make another video showing/opening the inside compartments, opening the livewells...etc. are they water tight? Can you make one with a built-in ice chest to the center console. That would be REALLY nice just to put drinks and sandwiches. How about access to the inside of the center console for storage and wiring. We need more details.

Having years of experience with pad bottom boats I can clearly see in this video that this boat, when running up onto the pad, is more out of the water than a traditional flats boat. This permits running across skinny water without damaging the bottom nor your prop. Another BIG advantage is the ability to jump up on plane quicker, burn less fuel and cruise at higher speeds without the need for YUGE (heavy) HP engine. So many honest advantages below the water line plus Steve's terrific interior layout. This is a long overdue winner from a proven winner.

Have you ever thought about making a solo type of skiff? I have to say, just watching your boat design skimming across the water, 90% of the boat is out of the water. Talk about efficiency. Looks like a great design.

If I had a boat I'd go out on the ocean. If I had a pony I'd ride him on my boat!
