Hydrasynth 1.5.3 update April 2021

New Hydrasynth update notes
Function:
Add more velocity options in system page 3
Fix the unbalanced velocity response of white and black keys.
Don't respond to MIDI start anymore if the clock sync is internal
Add more time resolution to delay and delay modulation
change the vel off position in mod src
Distort FX preset Drive1 change default Asym value to 0
Hand hold note will be hold if you play many other note quickly with sustain pedal
Make the mutant shift+ratio smoother
Bug fix
Trigger Single/OFF LFO possible to have a delay at the note start if you play very quickly
Block light show if you are calibrating the ribbon
LFO mod ENV attack may not be on time
unit sends pitch&mod wheel message during boot
After save, the browser button was highlighted
Notes messages not in MIDI RX affected the ARP
In category sort, and receive a program change which is not in this category, caused some problem
ARP's first note has a delay with external clock
Playing keyboard with MIDI RX may cause hang note.
LFO step 54 lost in patch save
Big ID macro mod little ID macro didn't work
ModWheel
hold a key and turn on ARP then turn off ARP will cause some note problem
mono aftertouch will be hold to 7X in MIDI Loop
Play a mono sound, play E, D, C, and released C, it went back to E. should go back to D
Some HP parameter changed the OSC pitch
Mod wheel tempo didn't follow the BPM change when BPM sync on

They’ve also reduced the slew rate on the pitchbend. Makes fast moves during soloing much easier. P.S. thanks to Ken for the heads up.

nice vid, finally getting a Hydrasynth soon your unit might need a dust cover though :-) all my gear has them or it would be a mess, lots of dust in my area

Lots of great bug fixes! Question: The Peak latch allows me to hold notes (latch on/arp off) from a keystep midi keyboard. On the Hydra desktop, when Latch on/Arp off, notes don’t hold with keystep midi keyboard (sustain works but not latch/hold note functionality). I wonder if this will be possible in future update?

new to HS. if you update the firmware, not sure how to atm, will it overwrite my sounds i have made?

You should back up your patches on a computer just to be sure. It's very easy to do. The patch manager is located here: www.ashunsoundmachines.com/downloads

it should not over write your sounds but always a good idea to back up any patches before performing any firmware update on any gear ;)

a daredevil here didn't update before backing up, everything is fine, but yeah, you should backup before any firmware update in any gear, line 6 even has an auto backup before updating for their helix line

I just did the firmware update and my custom patches were just fine. But, since firmware can change how a patch works it is best to back them up first. It is simple and fast.
