Hydrasynth drums

Im currently trying to get my head around using the step lfo + mod in feedback trick to get gate patterns for sequencing percussion sounds, plus im playing with the phase to get different grooves for the melody
All sound comes from the hydra. Some compression afterward to add more juices

Thanks! It's all about the envelopes. Most percussion uses little to no attack (unless it's a brush thing) and variable decay/release. Exponential envelopes works best. You need to assign this to volume, pitch and/or timbre. But takes this advices with a grain of salt, as experimentation is key. Check some synth percussion yt videos tutorials. They should apply to the HS as well Cheers

Sadly i had to sell my HS but it's all about triggering envelopes with different lfos (which crossmodulate their frequency themselves, that way you can get more patterns). Those envelopes modulate the oscillators volumea at the mixer and also modulate some parameters inside the oscillators (pitch for the bassdrum for example; some others go to the mutant section). One thing I did not explore much is assigning macros to different parameters to have a more on hands control on the pattern generation and different ways to add "fills" (for example, closing and opening the delay) Also, using the arpeggiator with the build patterns of the HS can give you other results
