I have to use a hydration shampoo and a moisture shampoo on wash day, after that I have to steam with deep conditioner. Doing this I have moisture trained my hair to stay moisturize after I do the LCGO method until next wash day. I do incorporate Ayurvedic hair treatments on a regular to balance the moisture. But for the most part I focus on hydration and moisture and steam treatments. Before steaming I could not retain any length, heat caps did not help me, my hair wants steam only, took me a minute to realize what my hair was begging for.

5:00 i think more like keeping your body hydrated allows your body to continue to adequately supply blood flow to your hair follicles in the scalp, thus actually stimulating hair growth. Your hair and nails are the last thing your body cares about as they are dead stuctures. Nice video over all though. I like how you kind of emphasized the importance of both hydration and moisture. too many people make it look like the 2 are mutually exclusive or one is more important than the other(usually hydration). However, they go hand and hand for natural hair since unlike straight hair, it doesn't get full coating from sebum. You cant have moisture without water, and hydration is transient without moisturizers.

I generally keep my hair in loose knotless braids I do myself. Everytime I go to my stylist for trims, she has to cut so much because of dryness breaking my hair off. I've always used the leave-in sprays.thinking that's enough. Now, I'm going to incorporate a cream as well over the braids, use the spray first so that the cream can travel to my hair, amd an oil to seal. I have not been able to retain much length this past year. So, I'm hoping this method works this time around when I go for my next trim.

Hi, Michelle, as always you do an excellent job in providing detailed quality information on all your videos. It seems my hair is always dry no matter what I do. However, I always start out rinsing out my conditioner with warm water than cool water for the final rinse. I will try rinsing out with warm water. I do live in the high desert and here its low humidity and hard water which I'm sure contributes to the dryness. I recently ordered some items such as the conditioner, gloss bars, leave in and more and looking forward to trying everything. Thanks, again.

You can use the glass bar either before or after the shampoo. Depending on how dirty your hair is, I usually do a nice warm rinse then apply the glass bar then shampoo and condition afterwards. Or I will shampoo, use the gloss bar and only condition if necessary. Then I will use the leave and twist cream afterwards.

I think I got it. Question- can I add amla to my shampoo or do you think no not to do that ??

Hair that is severely matted and looks like cobwebs when you try to pull it apart. And yes sis you got it! You can add amla to your shampoo, try to section some out and not just add it to the bottle so you dont throw off the preservative system.

I’m still going to deep condition though. Eeww honey you know this challenge we just did with the scalp & grow & then the strength & moisturizing?? Well my hair did have some good results… my hubby even said he noticed some growth in some bald spots & so did one of my coworkers. Thank you - thank you - 😊 thank you so much. You shouldn't be telling people the purposely raise their cuticle. This is something everybody keeps saying but it's not accurate. Healthy hair needs hydration both inside and out. Drinking enough water is what's crucial, as it nourishes the hair follicle and plumps up strands from within. While topical products help seal in moisture and address specific concerns, they work best when hair is already hydrated internally. Avoid practices that lift the hair cuticle, as this can lead to moisture loss and damage. Think of it like this: water is the foundation, and products are the support system for maintaining optimal hair moisture.
@NowIAmNappy2 ай бұрын
@@purpleglitter9596 did you watch the full video? The point of lifting the cuticles and by the way they’re not severely lifted they’re only thinly lifted is to remove buildup/dirt or get proteins and moisture into the hair.
