Such Beautiful hair! ❤I'd say trimming every 3-4 months is ideal. That's exactly when & how much I have mine trimmed & it grows tremendously. When you have very long hair, you really don't want to be in it all the time; because thsts a job within itself. Watching those ends and keeping up the maintenance, hair will grow. It's our glory, we gotta take care of it.

Is it possible that lack of trimming may lead to thinning and scalp issues? That’s what my stylist was saying? I’m thinking it’s more internal, maybe hormonal?

@lilyankay2116 I'm not a hair stylist, but yes, if you have split ends, not trimming them will only cause the split to go up the shaft of the hair. That's very damaging. As you said, hormones/ menopause, medications can all cause thinning & scalp issues, and usually it's right at the crown/ top of the head. I know a few ladies who are now dealing with thinning issues because of their medications. Even constantly wearing tight pony tails & buns can put stress on the hair around the edges.

Prayer for my family (Salvation, Deliverance, Healing Restored Confidence and parents with their children and children with their parents. Siblings loving one another.
