Great bit of editing on the ammonia straw bale cutting stripping sequence, well done. How about putting star type blade on the log splitter so you can get more than one log split for each ram movement.

I love agricultural engineering........ You need something, BOSH, stick some metal together & bingo, there it is. When the apocalypse hits I'm getting to my nearest farm to take shelter. When I was a laddie on my grandparents farm I was in charge of log & kindling production....... Still love it to this day.

Fill the new bed on the log splitter with box section steel slats instead of the board and all the rubbish bits will fall through out of the way.

We have a bedding machine it is much more straw efficient although it dose rope up a tractor all winter so maybe you would be better looking into a telehawk or a spreadabale for the forklift if on the market

With the new shed would you consider feeding using a small diet feeder to mix the straw and minerals and feed into channel

I would go with a defender over a pickup but that’s just because I’m handy with a spanner and a multimeter and could keep it on the road

I’m not that sure you do save straw with a blower, we always found that we had to bed them every day with the blower but rolling out by hand lasted two or three days, one advantage to the blower is we use to feed the silage and hay with it.

got to love the log splitter, reweld it using a stick welder as its a lot stronger weld than the mig.

Check with Farmer Phil about a straw blower. He just discussed it in a recent video. Amazing you have the same tape measure but we use the other measurement here in the USA. It appears you need a new sharper longer wedge on your splitter Crawford. What kind of wood were you splitting? Nice to spilt on a concrete floor and inside. Thanks youngman. See you in the next video!!

I don’t have a straw blower, but they all say you’ll only use half the amount of straw. Straw with us is around £22 per round bale so can add up.

The splitter head was getting pushed sideways from the wood grain probably having more affect than not being quite straight. Not having an engineering brain, I’d just be rewelding it 🤷♂️😅

Got the kv 3400 on demo today from HRN. Brilliant bit of kit. Shifted it up the rd tonight about 7miles. Best plough to shift in transport I’ve ever had on the rd. made a great job in the field as well.
