Just shows how solid stuff was in the old days. I had a Mk2 Golf GTI in 1991. When you shut the door it was a firm, heavy action. The door panels seemed thick and well made. Fast forward to 2012 and I got a new VW Polo TDI. The door panels rattled and felt flimsy. It’s all cost savings over quality these days for most things we buy.

It's important to note with cars specifically a good portion of those changes were made for safety. Doors were standardized and weakened slightly to make it easier to rescue people in crashes. The front and back of a modern car crumple because if the car doesn't absorb the kinetic energy when it deforms, the people inside absorb it and usually don't take it very well. It's more fragile but, assuming you're not driving a Cybertruck, you probably won't be turned into paste in a high speed crash.

1:20 That new 3310 from 2017 was fake It’s clearly visible, especially, the interface. The fonts are all wrong, the startup animation is wrong, even the menus are wrong. And those navigation buttons are too thick and large, unlike the real deal, where they’re thinner and softer. I had a chance to try out the original 3310 (2017) from HMD Global, and, believe me, it was nothing like this fake junk.
