Tunédex Side Notes #59: Gardevoir had a nightmare last night. She dreamed that she was alone again and trying to survive while being hunted due to her blue coloring. I comforted and reassured that she was now safe with us. I could only wonder what it was like to constantly look over your shoulder and always wondering if today was going to be your last day of freedom. Gardevoir would stay close to me after these nightmares. The team and I were traveling through more mountains when we came across a beautiful sight. The valley below was covered in cherry blossom trees at full bloom. Gardevoir was immediately dazzled by the beauty of nature and asked if we could go there. We decided to get closer. After a long hike, we reached the valley with the cherry trees. The cherry blossoms were fluttering everywhere making the environment like magical wonderland. Ceruledge was careful to not set any of the trees on fire while Lucario took the opportunity to meditate under one of the larger trees. Gardevoir just quietly absorbed to serene feel of the forest. As we were enjoying the calm area, a loud noise echoed throughout the valley. We immediately went on the defensive. A large three headed dragon emerged from the cherry blossoms and targeted us. It started to attack us with brutal power. Lucario, Ceruledge and I were immediately knocked back from the attack from the hydra. Gardevoir was left standing against the monster. She was not happy. The forest was getting damaged and her friends were hurt by this creature. We watched as Gardevoir unleashed a relentless barrage of dazzling light towards the hydra. It tried to fight back, but Gardevoir was too powerful. The creature, later discovered to be a Hydreigon, started to back off. Gardevoir used the chance to guide the Hydreigon away from the cherry blossom trees. With one last blast of fairy light, she drove the Hydreigon away from the valley. Soon after, she collapsed in exhaustion. I helped her up and took her to an undamaged part of the forest. Lucario and Ceruledge decided to set up for a picnic at the base of a large tree. The picnic was relaxing with the cherry blossoms fluttering all around us. Soon after we ate, we packed up and continued to our next destination.
