Hi Chris, Was just watching some of your older videos, in this case what can be dipped FAQ #2 and there you mentioned that some fabrics and also shoes can be dipped. However, if I recall correctly, in a recent live stream you advised against dipping items that flex or are made of rubber. Any chance to get some more detail on if shoes and fabrics can be dipped and how that would actually work? Thanks

Fabrics and some flexible materials can be dipped yes, but I recommend against it because it does not hold up well under use. They will eventually start to flake off, crack, peel, and will not be permanent because there is no clear coats that can be flexible enough to stand up to the movement that shoes and stuff need. So yes you can do do shoes and stuff like that but do not expect it to last under use conditions. They are fine for decorative items that will not be used.

if the product is already cerakoted such as the AR10 lower I purchase from Aero precision, it has the nice snake emblem on it. Can I directly hydro dip over it should I have the gunsmith bead blast cerakote?

What about using cerakote clear over hydrographics?

You can use the C series clear but from my experience it is not as good as the urethane clears we use. The bake on H series clears I have not experimented with yet, but it is worth a try.

Where can I find tanks and equipment for hydro dipping for beginners and the lower end? I use dip wizard kits but I need to grow to match my demand

There is a bunch of places to buy tanks and stuff but I recommend people search ebay, facebook market place, facebook hydro dip groups, and craigslist for used equipment. Unfortunately there is a large turnover in this hobby and I see a lot of stuff for sale regularly.
