Filter cover plug is 1 1/16". Each side takes 5.1Qts. (20w50 motor oil) with less than 1/4" in reservoir. More added to 1/2 level each. Air bleed screw at top of tranny is 10mm. Mine is a 2016 IS3200Z with a 72" deck. Change hours is listed at 400 hrs. IMO one of the best mowers on the market. Has cut my mowing time in half, and getting more of the trimming that was not easily done with my compact diesel tractor and 6' Woods rear deck. Mowing about 5 to 5 1/2 Acres. Keep blades sharp, and let the wife know her tan is getting better while mowing.

@@311hitwall you can lift the mower from the bumper but, keep in mind that it has a suspension travel and it would have to be jacked up a lot more in order for the tires to clear the floor 🤷

Just letting everybody know since I wasn’t really expecting it take as long as it did since it was my first time. but it took me about 3-4 hours to change this oil. Now granted it wasn’t with the best tools (literally had my mower jacked up on bricks and used cut down 5 gallon buckets as oil pans). Also had to run and buy a socket in the middle of this but… all and all wasn’t to bad in my opinion

What was the screw you tightened a quarter turn at the end. Did you loosen it at the beginning.
@JsCrazyCutzLLC5 жыл бұрын
Sorry ,guess I didn't explain that. 13:50 That is how you release pressure from the hydro motors(by you turning it a quarter turn) you unlock the motors so, you can push or pull the mower around. If you don't unlock them, you can damage the pumps. This is also used to purge the air trapped in the system when changing hydro oil. In the video I turn the valves before changing oil,then I add the new oil and filters .I'll then purge the system by moving the control levers back and forth 4 or 5 times (while running) to get any air out that might be present . I'll then turn the valves back to stock position,lower the mower and drive it around to test it. Hope this helps.Thanks for watching.

Great video and very informative. You nailed the step by step and video shots to make it all extremely simple to follow. 2 questions. Is that the efi? And did you determine the approximate transmission oil capacity? I can't find it anywhere online or in my manual, did the same thing as you, bought 2 gallons of Rotella. Also used to install car stereos as well, weird. Moved into lawn care, still can't hear sh*t lol. Thanks!

Ha 😀what a co-inki-dink a fellow car stereo installer😎👊yes it is an efi and yes it takes 2- 5 quart jugs (1 in each resivour)I pretty much guessed on the oil compacity but, if the oil starts overflowing out of the vent and your oill level is 1/4 of the way full in your resivours then your good 👍thanks for watching and commenting

🤔Hmm maybe the bypass valve on the wheel motors isn't all the way in the right position or that the hydros has trapped air in the lines and need to be purged. I'd check that first then consult a dealer if that isn't the problem 🤷♂️hope you figure it out 😎
