Thanks for this video. Just moved into a house with an existing cable driven drain. I'd never seen one before. Now I can adjust flow and actually understand the design. Thank you.

Great video. My mechanism was slightly different and required a little tuning.

What are you turning on the drain stopper to get it to go up and down. The video doesn't show it? My contractor installed it but doesn't work properly

Where can get these parts to fix my tub, it doesn't keep the water in and leaks

There is not a gasket that goes on the inside of the tub on the overflow, correct?

Is it possible to change it out for a tip toe drain once the tub is installed or is it too late? I really don’t like this mechanism.

Hello Hydro System, Could you please post a video A.S.A.Y. (as soon as yesterday) on how to fix one of these drains as to why the knob will not turn? It would be most helpful. Thanks in advance

Ours appears to open and close just fine but it is allowing water to leak out when closed.

Thanks for this. Was having a problem with my stopper, needed to see a how one (like this) worked internally before I could fix it.

that wheel, that if you overtighten will break, where can I get one?

I have the same thing almost. My drain stopper looks the same, how do you get the drain stopper to stay inside the bolt. So it’s not loose

My overflow drain just won't stop leaking, I've tightened it to the tollerance of the plastic, have removed the gasket, dried it and the tub and retightened it. Still a very small drip when the tub is full and the overflow takes water. Can I put silicone or plumber's putty in there?

I had same problem and found that the installer had cracked the plastic piece on the inside of the tub. Just ordered a new one that is metal now since they discontinued the plastic ones. Seems like that will be even worse

I have one of these mechanical bulls... by design it is flawed when it comes to hair... the mechanism acts like a pencil stuck in the drain... all hair will build up around the cable and collect and becomes a perfect clog.... anyone out there find a proper fitting screen that can trap hair BEFORE it reaches this part in the drain to trap hair and prevent clogs that have to be removed by practically taking it apart? Nice idea but desperate for a solution... called Kohler, they sent me an install guide and a cleaning of the metal guide.... uh, not helpful...any one??? THANK YOU in advance!

additionally, a standard hair removal tool from the hardware will get perfectly stuck .... it took me nearly 15 minutes to get one back out and no hair as it cant get to it

My wallfitting piece no longer will turn left or right. It seems to have locked up. I tried WD-40. Any advise on how to release it?
