Facts: - Hydrogen costs over 10X more than charging battery electric vehicles (BEVs) - green hydrogen requires 3X more electricity to be generated than charging an EV due to the massive inefficiency of H2. You can't argue H2 is a solution to not having enough electricity, it makes the problem 3X worse. - BEV sales have grown 22% globally this year, with 17 million sales expected for 2024. Only 6000 fuel cell vehicles were sold globally in the first half of 2024, and has been dropping massively in every country, while hydrogen fueling stations close. - H2 is actually a greenhouse gas, 11X worse than CO2, and since it is the smallest atom, it is incredibly leaky. (It's a secondary GHG as it binds to other molecules in the air, making them worse GHGs and/or making them last longer). Hydrogen as a fuel for vehicles has already failed, BEVs have won. If any gullible wealthy folks want to lose their private money investing in H2 that's their prerogative, but I sure hope the government doesn't flush any more tax payer money down the H2 toilet.
