Hydrogen as a fuel is brilliant! The problem is allowing the public to dispense the stuff. H2 has tiny molecules that find their way through the smallest gaps, leaving an explosive mixture as low as 4% H2. Parts leak with the tiniest bit of wear, that will be caused by sloppy handling, clumsiness and downright stupidity. I'm all for H2, but it will need trained operatives to dispense, and ensure the safety of the general public.
@truealchemy15344 ай бұрын

Well, thats just an unrealistic outlook. You cannot legally buy or sell anything in the United States unless it's taxed, as regardless of how independent you think you are, you're pretty reliant on government infrastructure. Can't have your fancy homestead kit without someone to manufacture, store and ship it to you, or to support the wireless networks they are using to buy this stuff, make the videos about it, share it with you, and all the industries that support and make these things available to people, which would easily make a list just as long as you had to list things, every single thing on there absolutely dependent on the government to provide some sort of infrastructure, protection, and permission to do so, or dedicate the majority of your time, energy, and resources to avoiding the government while they print money to pay law enforcement to come after you. Just acknowledge they have paved the way for you to do mostly what you want, give them their percentage, or go live somewhere else, then you can complain all you like without having to stop every few minutes to suck on the governments teat so you won't perish.

That’s a good start for a practical power plant that can still perform when needed ! I am very excited to learn more and see this build !

@newtonfirefly35844 ай бұрын
@joefenech6839; Joe Fenech, the use with hydrogen can certainly be much less expensive than shown in Your post and stated. Use the developed Stanley Meyer process, method, patents for direct conversion, transformation of normal water into usable hydrogen, alos without any hydrogen storage tank, purchase, or hydrogen. His patents include on-deman conversion, transformation, separation of H2O along with direct cylinder injection which can be easily produced, replicated, as a kit for any current ICE vehicle; much easier with advanced small, tiny computers, ECU-ECM-PCM available today to control the hydrogen, combustion, ignition. Thus, the vehicle needs only a simple water tank, access to water from any location, including a stream, river, pond, lake, rain, snow, ice, hail, sea, ocean, etc.

@ClayMillican 'Here's the Three Issues which make this concept improbable and were Glossed Over: 1. Hydrogen needs to be super cooled to be in a compact liquid state. 2. There is No Way to properly do ths in a tank as small as an entire truck bed safely!!

We use the hydrogen as a gas, not a liquid. It is not a requirement to cool it. The tanks we use are certified by DOT for use on public highways. We use either a Stage 3 or a Stage 4 tanks. Both are spun aluminum, with a carbon fiber wrap. The Stage 4 also has a rubber liner. That is the only difference between them.
@Zach-ku6eu3 ай бұрын
That's even worse! It's already in a high pressure gaseous state, even less time to a detonation in a collision. If DOT certified it fine, but they'll pull it after the first car collision. Like the Pinto, except with more explosive properties. Respect the initiative however.

@jerrrycreek; Jerry Creek, clearly You do have ignored the facts about this unique man, Mike Copeland with Arrington. He is actually a very experienced design, development engineer formally within GM within special, advanced vehicle projects, who also enjoys being involved within modification, performance. If You want to a actually be impressed beyond Your clearly limited knowledge base there are several other developments which are important within internal combustion engines: A. Stanley Meyer, PhD, Professor - hydrogen production from water via H2O molecule split into H2 O2, direct conversion/separation cylinder injection, simple kit conversion for any ICE. B. Liquidpiston X-engine, rotary, unique engine cycle, including hydrogen use C. Hydrogen engines already in production, use within heavy equipment in UK. Please realize that most folks, people, worldwide are equally ignorant about ICE, hydrogen. The early ICE developers, engineers, chemists, physicists have known well, properly about hydrogen, for over 150 years. Also few know that the diesel engine was designed, developed to function, operate, burn normal consumable, readily available, accessible oils as vegetable, seeds, nuts, etc. Also few know that all liquid fuel rocket engines burn hydrogen, oxygen with only water vapor exhaust too. rocket engine thrust is another viable means for ground transportation, air, water transportation along with space vehicles. @claymillican; am well aware that You are a longtime racer, with some reasonable mechanical, basic mechanic experience, knowledge, including some performance modifications. however, clearly within your extensive racing experience, involvement, You have not developed the basic awareness certainly not within basic chemistry, burning, combustion including rocket engines which use primarily hydrogen, H2 + O2 + spark-ignition. am personally now 65, followed the USA, NASA, space program since five years old with Gemini onward, then with my education development within advanced mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, design, development, thus also learned about basics within rocket engine, hydrogen and carbon hydrogen combustion. Actually recall seeing, reading many articles with hydrogen use within combustion engines in vehicles back from 1978 through 1980-90's, then into 21st Century. The major, minor, small and private developers were involved, some still are. Similarly with electric vehicles too. hydrogen was well known for use back within early combustion engines over 120-40 years ago. The main issue was production of hydrogen, mostly from water is slow, inefficient. If You look at the patents, also recorded, available videos from Stanley Meyer, You may be impressed. they certainly impress me with his developments, patents, knowledge, ideas, concepts, principles, intents, purposes, plans. All The Best, Sincerely 🙂

@jackmooney454 ай бұрын
he3 has spoken about it in interviews before. I bet if this is sent to him via email etc, he will be on it. He once said just think about costs of everything, if truckers were not spending $4-5 bucks a gallon on diesel

I'm sure he will make a bid. But Jay Leno ain't gonna throw money away, either. Why he doesn't buy Ferrari.
@lilorbielilorbie24964 ай бұрын
@@philbert006 According to Jay .The reason that he won't buy a Ferrari is their attitude towards their customer. It's like Ferrari is doing them a favor buy selling them a car. There's a video here on you tube of Jay saying that.

I think hydrogen for gas is an excellent idea. In my opinion it will be the best way forward for heavy transportation. So trucks, trains, bulldozers & other equipment in that category.

@@timbuckingham6734 Hydrogen is a failure as a fuel for multiple reasons. Cost, mainly due to its volatile and corrosive nature. If you think EVs are expensive then you will be shocked by hydrogen cars. They are a total scam.

@@amraceway are you talking fuel cell tech or direct injection. They have been doing testing on city busses that started about 16 yrs ago & are still in use. As to cost 2 factors in crease distribution sights & increase production sights. Hydrogen is mostly used for industrial uses like cracking tar sands or freezing.

@@timbuckingham6734 Hydrogen is a very unstable gas with a varying range of flash points. It needs to be under enormous pressure to store enough to run a vehicle. Toyota have had all sorts of problems with their hydrogen vehicles and are currently in a class action case with unlucky owners.It takes more energy to produce as a fuel than it yields. 99% of hydrogen comes from natural gas. Hydrogen is a critical gas for chemical manufacture and is used to make fertilizer where its use should be limited to.

Just thinking out loud here, won't the hydrogen tanks in vehicles be highly flammable upon inpact? Will they have to be multiple shelled? Take Care :)

Tanks have safeties will only allow certain psi to release any more and it shuts off. Tanks are fiberglass wrapped and dot tested.

It needs to be low priced ,or none of us will be able to buy one, but ,,,,PEOPLE if SHE GETS in gasoline and diesel fuel will be out lawed, but he say he wants clearer and and water too, but he stops at outlawing gasoline and diesel, , the rules say they want all crud oil gone, so nitrogen or whatever this is hydrogen and it probably needs some nitrogen in it to keep it clean, might just be the ticket to keep internal combustion engines right , thanks BigAl California.
