Man at the 10 minute mark when that tall announcer started talking and the cameras panned back... I was waiting for Clay and Jeff to break out in song and sing the "Lollipop Guild" song from the Wizard of Oz. Ya'll looked so tiny then. Follow the SEMA Brick Road.. FOLLOW THE SEMA BRICK ROAD. I am looking forward to when this car shows up on Jay Leno's Garage. That would be the PERFECT place for it to start. He has the money to benefit the program the car was built for. He has the resources to keep it well maintained and used. Finally he has the means to show case it and promote the technology in a good way.

I'm glad someone finally used hydrogen correctly I don't want to say the manufacturer but I took some training on some vehicles and they had too plans one was CNG the other was hydrogen but the unsafe way and they invested way too much into the prototype

Can you image what the original design team would think of this build. They would be blown away. Looks very nice everywhere on the car. Someone will get a one of a kind gem.

Not sure how this is the first hydrogen powered ICE ever sold? Toyota has sold the Mirai since 2014? What a great looking build!
@kenwillis84874 сағат бұрын
This is the first hydrogen powered hot rod!
@jcat964 сағат бұрын
The Mirai isnt a combustion car, the hydrogen powers a battery. BMW had some hydrogen ICE V12 car in the late 2000s, and Toyota has a Rally Car test car running Hydrogen ICE. But this is definitely the first Hydrogen ICE hot rod.
@claymillican254 сағат бұрын
@@jeffgrant935 the Toyota isn’t a ICE (internal combustion engine) it is a hydrogen fuel cell which means the hydrogen fuel cell is charging the batteries that run electric motors.

To be clear, my comment wasn't intended to be confrontational, it was just confusion on my part due to lack of detailed understanding... and I genuinely appreciate the explanation.

As a 25 year mechanic I have learned one thing. Working in a shop SUCKS! Especially with "shop management" and these cookie cutter junk cars they build nowadays.🤦 Quite frankly the future of the automotive industry scares the 💩 out of me. Focus on the racing/performance aspect of things and you won't lose interest...😎
@81carrerasc4 сағат бұрын
I wonder with these woke western governments whether they are going to put handcuffs on auto racing eventually. Here in Oz we face incredibly restrictive rules on modifications to our street going cars. And there is an ever increasing over zealous police force ready to smash us when we do modify our cars. I'm a 66yo car nut who has faced the wrath of the transportation and police authorities in my home state for having a modified production car on the street.
