I can't get enough of your videos, I am from Saskatoon and can relate to your cold temps. You have an awesome operation, I have been growing my own plants since 1991 and just started a hydroponics setup. I think if your videos had existed back then, I would have a full blown Greenhouse operation. You guys are awesome in your sharing and excellent explanations. Is the Essential Plus 1-0-1 available in Canada. I can only find it in the U.S. Thanks again, every time I see your warehouses I want to come and see them. If we are ever in that neck of the woods we definitely will.Have a great season and Keep Growing

Thanks for all of the info, it is very helpful in trying to get a system up and running. I do have a few questions if you have a moment. What do you do with the used Oasis cubes after you harvest? Do you always harvest multiple times from the same trays or just on occasion and how does that figure into your calculations for new starts?
@XanderFreeman886 жыл бұрын
Awesome Video! Very informative, curious how long the lights are on for ? And the flow rate into the propagation trays?

You guys are certainly inspirational to even the old dirt farming guys too! I may just be hooked!! I have now built a test setup and we just planted our first Oasis tray tonight. I just had to watch this video again to make sure I was feeding the correct amount. Hopefully I will get some germination soon! I have 4 trays built and will have 4 more before they need to move into them. I do have a question about how you test the PH and EC of the tanks you have and the nutrients you are providing them I saw the video about the fertilizers you use, but didn't see how you actually test if the mix is the right combination. If I missed it an an earlier video, sorry for the repeat - I just don't remember seeing those testers. I need to try and get something that will help there and haven't really seen any that have great reviews on-line from other folks. Thanks in advance!!

+Higher Ground Farm LLC Thank you so much for your kind words! "That means alot to us! We use a blue lab PH meter and a Blue lab Truncheon to measure the ec. PH should be anywhere from 5.8 -6.2 and ec should be anywhere from 1.1 - 1.3. I hope this helps! ☺ Thank you so much for watching and please feel free to ask all you want! We wish you all the best! ☺ Patti

Thank you for all your helpful videos! I have recently started growing in our new year round greenhouse and have a question regarding the Oasis cubes. I have found that the one inch cubes tip over in my channels as the plants mature. I have tried some net pots but still having some issues. Do you use one cube per channel opening or do you use more? I saw another video where a grower was using 4 of the one inch cubes as a larger cube that fit perfectly into his square opening Crop King channels. However, I am using the AmHydro channels, same as you. Thank you!

This was an excellent video!!! Very thorough and helpful with great examples! I'll have to try those Oasis cubes, that looks like a great thing to use. We don't have a greenhouse of that size just yet but I'd like to move lettuce seedlings to the field...the oasis cubes can be planted straight into the ground?

Great video guys. Do we really need the Essentials Plus nutrient for germination? Will it speed up the germination process or improve the percentage? Do we need the heat mats for germination, will it speed up germination? what if I just place it in natural heat/light?

Wayne I'm having trouble with my nutrients.I'm using master blend ,calcium nitrate,and epson salt. My problem is I get a white residue on the oasis am I using to much calcium? I use mphgardeners formula 10-10-5 .I have notice that the calcium does not dissolve even when I use warm water or is my formula wrong. I have tried to get the fertilizer you use but haven't been able to. Can you tell where I can buy some I live in Belleville Illinois..

Hey Patti. Matt from Ferme Ojalammi nearby in Warren. Was watching this video for the 10th time trying to absorb all the great info as I’m currently planning out my propagation table build and I’m hoping you can answer three questions for me. (1) I know Wayne uses the same Plant Prod hydroponic fertilizer for the seedlings but what EC and pH does he run the nutrient solution at in the propagation system? (2) What type of lights and bulbs do you have on your seedling in the propagation station? Would you replace them with something else if money/time permitted? (3) I notice you replied to numerous questions about how long/often the nutrient solution cycles through the trays and your responses were consistently “24/7” but I thought for sure Wayne said something about having the pump on a timer and cycling solution on and off and very specific intervals. Can you confirm? Thanks!!!

Very informative video. Can I ask, is it a must that you use nursery troughs before the transition to the production troughs?
@Growwiththelaplantes6 жыл бұрын
Dominique Echeverri Thank you! No, it's not a must to use the nursery troughs before planting into the finishing troughs if you aren't concerned about space. We do this because we are on a constant rotation so when they are in the nursery it saves space as there are 60 + holes in the nursery troughs and only 15 -16 holes in the finishing troughs. I hope this answers your question! ☺
