Hi Healing Hobbies, did you refill you box with water during the growth of the plant? If so, did you simply add water or did you include nutrients all over again as you did when you initially started? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for watching Mark. Yes it needed to be refilled with the same nutrient solution. The container I used was enough to maintain 5 gallons only so constant refill is necessary specially during fruiting stage. 😊

Nutrient Solution : 12g NPK (Masterblend) 12g Calcium Nitrate, 6g Magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salt) in 5 gallon water. Same ratio throughout the plant growth to harvest.🌱🙂

How many days before you refill the same nutrients

Depending on the stages of growth and the size of growing container. For a start, you may not refill after 3weeks however when the plants started to bear fruit it absorb a lot of nutrients so at least 2-3x a week.

Hi Nelson, Yes I only maintain 3 vines per plant for maximum nutrient uptake since the container I’ve used can only hold up to 5gallons of nutrient solution.

Yes it was small 😊. It was my first time to do that experiment and refilling was a challenged. Sometimes I had to refill 1-2x a week. 40gal is a nice size. Would you be doing this on a Kratky method?

@@golfshoe9321 That's great. By the way, I did pinch off first 2-3 fruits to establish a strong root system. Also, I maintain only 3 vines per plant for maximum nutrient uptake. With 40gallons it can probably do more. I would suggest to start the seedlings with a 5 gallon bucket though then transfer when it started to set fruit. I hope this helps. Have fun growing!

How did you seal the box? This needs to be water tight.
