Still running mine four years later, never thought to move the batteries that far back. Thanks. The Spartan still has my Inception beat.

Hi Andrew where is that..nice spot ..I miss the Hydropro very stable boat
@druscanam4 жыл бұрын
It's in Healsville Victoria at a recreational reserve on Don road. This lake is not all that big and usually works better with the smaller 6S prop which gives it better stability and handeling although we were trying for maximum speed so he used In he larger 4S pro. Think if we tried again in Lilydale on a calm day where the water is like glass( like the video of the drone footage from afar) it would be a little faster. Also I have couple of older video of this boat at Healsville with the 6S prop too and you can see it's more stable.

Also did you check out the gps speed run we did on the Optimus running the 20T pinion and HV batteries on 4S? It was a little bit higher then expected 👍🏻

Depends how often you wide open the thottle, maybe 6-10min

New Turnigy Graphene 5000mAh 65C 3S (x2) are good for 1m58s of full throttle with 60mm prop. Non-stock 150A ESC used since day 1 as forums suggest the original 90A ESC dies quickly. Peak Amp draw is 159A. Max speed 89km/h. Heat is a problem - solder melts on ESC-motor connectors. Well over 100 runs on my Inception. Broken (or wear-out): 2 flex shafts, 3 props, 1 servo, 1 receiver (moisture killed it) and 20+ bearings.
@druscanam3 жыл бұрын
@@Tummi23 The original 90A esc is programmed to only allows 10 seconds of full throttle before limiting full power to protect electronics from overheating. Although at 80k/h the boat will travel 222m so given the available space in most lakes full throttle for over 10 seconds is not nessisary. It's interesting that you have been able to test the boat continually at full throttle and yes about 2 min at full throttle sounds about right although for most recreational driving my brother drives modulationig the throttle however he sees fit to drive depending on the location, condions and his mood. So yeah it would vary alot.

@@Tummi23 Have you tried alot of different bearings? Are cermaic bearing any better/worth getting?
@Tummi233 жыл бұрын
@@druscanam I didn't try ceramic bearings yet. Got few packs of cheap, standard ones (zz, 2rs) and I just replace them every week during the season. I use 4 bearings instead of 2 for extra rigidity (had to shorten the plastic tube between them). Water/rust is the enemy here, so maybe ceramic is good solution. Let me know if you try it :) As for the lake - I have 2km long and 500m wide available and it's not the biggest around ;) A lot of place to stress-test lipos, nitros and 2-strokes :D

@@gpsspeedrun Hi I Just submitted another video of this boat into your ARTR Mono hull class on your website as well as a speed run in my FT010 too also in the ARTR mono hull class to help fill the entries. If you could view them and update the website that would be great cause my brother is looking to sell his Inception due to travelling for a year and I think being to site it as the second fastest ARTR mono hull boat world wide and possibly the fast in Australia may help it sell better, thanks 👍
