It's honestly kind of hard to find a translation in English for it because it's not really a phrase for us. It's commonly translated as "eats well" but I don't really like that either. They're basically saying she's a good eater in that she's not picky, just enjoys the food, rather than being finicky about it or eating just a little bit, purely for sustenance, etc. You've probably met people who don't like a wide variety of foods and it's like, what do you even like to eat? In other words, she's not one of those people.
