So Kia Cenat disrespects Killer Mike (not even first checking out his music) to glaze Travis Scott. But when Joe Budden gives streamers (not dropping any names) a wake up call that there is a world outside of streamers small small bubble. He gets offended and brings up money (which to your point doesn’t really take a specific skill anymore and isn’t “earned” like it once was).

Thank you for bringing the globalization and reach of the artist, I'm from Morocco and pretty knowledgeable about what's popping in both Africa and some of Europe, and I've been having this argument with a lot of Americans about how some of their favorite artist are not even in top 100 that's why they don't tour worldwide, and they directly say "who cares about that place anyway". Bro, everyone except your salty ahh, even your artist wants to tour there but can't. I'll give you an example, the MJ vs Chris Brown should've never been a thing to begin with. People in so many places that can nor understand or make a correct phrase in English, can sing almost all the songs of MJ while they don't even know who tf is Chris Brown.

Brother, Grammys are music industry politics, you might think Utopia is better, saying that rap is just "young man sport" is a thing of the past, Hiphop is one of the most predominant genres with a plethora of ages and styles, so this is just a thing of record labels patting their heads at each other Mike deserves all the glory in this world, the album was sick (if you enjoy rap) thing is believing grammys won't be biased is delusional, it happened a couple times before When Kendrick said that, RTJ2 was just dropping

What Kai doesn’t get, is that young dudes don’t have the influence like he does. Your average 22 year old is on a family plan on Apple Music or Spotify and have to depend on a lower paying job(entry level) or they are getting money from their parents. If older artists don’t have pull then why was Wu tang selling concerts out while lil baby was canceling them? Older people have the ability to also buy merchandise and fore-mentioned concert tickets. I’m like 10 years older than Kai, they don’t get the longevity certain artists will have because they have substance. If you only rap about in and current things; you won’t last long

I agree they wild for disrespecting killer mike but hip hop labels targeting the young adult audience literally use kai and dem to see whats litt and what the kids gone gravitate to

Main stream artist also share the same saturated material it feels like. So I wouldn’t correlate “good art” to “globally known art.”

It's funny how Kai can say Joe Budden Has One hit (which i agree with) but Kai Cenat doesn't have any hits and is JUST A STREAMER! Joe built a career in podcasting after having at least one single hit that net him a major amount of money before his online career while kai just started streaming off the hopes of being successful, and got popular with no inherent skill or talent besides entertaining people by being a spectacle

It’s the fact that these streamers are so far from reality..Kai doesn’t even understand that his fans will listen and do whatever he says..remember he got in trouble for that meet up..opinions matter to those who cannot form their own..

That Macklemore comment was opinionated… he literally was a plant… the culture saw the bs through them forged numbers. And everyone was frustrated off of how the one hit wonder was forced on us and won a Grammy lol 😂 How are you ignoring that to try and make a point here…. Cause that Grammy was literally a smack in the face to the culture it wasn’t even the fact Kendrick got snubbed. And to compare it to present day is a lil reach… but I’m still following your point. My guy.

You don't have to be taught how to like "Objectively good music" It's just good! this new Era and streamers like kai like to teach people what songs are cool, and will paint a narrative as to why it should be cool instead of it just being cool. if it has to be explained then the setup isn't that great. that's just like me telling you the funniest joke in the world but i always have to explain it. this new generation think with their feelings more than anything else. the major point is that Kai is wrong for saying "Travis Scott should've won" and that's just his opinion... but its an EXTREMELY bias and immodest opinion because he knows literally zero things about the person who did win. when people called him out for his childlike opinion, he had the nerve to go to war when in reality he made comments based in ignorance and is wrong, but his ego is bigger than his stature so you cant tell him anything... they act like kids and wild out because this is new and they didn't get attention before they had money and status frfr.
