Hygge Lifestyle Inspiration: Let’s Create Those Cozy Apartment Vibes!

There is a certain kind of magic when it comes to creating those romantic hygge vibes in a small apartment. And hygge is so much more than an aesthetic!
Sure, hygge decor is wonderful, but what about the hygge home experience? Creating a cozy home is not just about decorating - the magic is also in what we DO in our spaces.
So in this video, I’m sharing some of my favorite hygge activities that I personally love to do in my cozy apartment. I want you to walk away from this video feeling inspired to do things in your space that romanticize your apartment lifestyle and simply make you feel good!

I am so glad you were able to share feeling lost, especially as it pertains to sharing a home with a loving partner. I myself found your style about a year ago, when looking for how was I to make myself happy and yet decorate something my then newly wed husband would be comfortable with. He is traditional style. I am definitely dramatic. I love black cabinets, Terra cotta floors and old copper tiles for backsplash. I am an intense art nouveau, iridescent tiles and stained glass, wickedly bohemian. He's more non descript, low key ,strictly functional kind of vibe (makes me think of a dentist office waiting room) very multipurpose and steril. I have no idea what to do. I started trying to do a cookie cutter farmhouse to give a fresh neutral vibe, leaning towards French provincial and I have zero inspiration, and he has zero opinion unless he doesn't care for it. I too and so lost, but I do believe there is a way out. We are going to try some "space of our own" with in our house and see if that doesn't allow for some more artistic reflection. And in the mean time, how to live a more meaningful life with everyday activities done with specific intent sounds perfect! Books, games, recipes for warm cozy beverages in the perfect cup and teas! Could you suggest some teas? Witchy dishes? Cookware? Recipe books? We love your channel. You are so the real deal and your struggle proves it we're right there ready to grow with you. Keep up the great work! Oh, and don't forget the MERCH! I still want to buy a copy of your ring of trees photo. Maybe you could offer some signature products? A very simple line of dark, maximalist pet supplies? Candles? Kitchen ware like mortar and pestal collections, spice bottles and storage containers. Or atleast Steffi recommended ones. I think this time in your life is going to explode into new directions that compliment moda misfit Perfectly! Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us. I am sixty, and I really enjoyed this. I would love to hear about the things you do that create a cozy, nesting vibe. I am into dark, moody decorating because I am an introvert, and I find it nurturing. The things I do in my home like eating, reading, crafting and listening to music contribute to my feeling of nesting and nurturing.

I'd say the show "A Discovery Of Witches" is a great Fall watch. Even though the story spans about 15 months over the 3 seasons, it's looks like it's Fall the whole time. Add in gorgeous European locations.

Can’t wait to check out year book and movie suggestions. Whatever you want to Vlog going forward, I’m ready. Just keep posting. Don’t worry at all about your current blockage, it just makes you completely normal ! Maybe doing a maximalist playful decorating day like you did in the old studio, will get you having fun with decorating again. You have been missed and I am Especially in need of some lifestyle options for the Hygge Season - I just bought my first Tiny Home and SASS is going to be my religion for the next long while. Take all the time you need, we love hearing whatever happens to be going on. And if you get stuck, you could make a video about all the things that aren’t coming together? Just knowing the frustration of “WHY WONT THIS CLICK” is shared makes it less awful. Also, maybe we could get a special Kooking With Kobee every once in a while??? Definitely more lifestyle content as well as decor! I'd recommend the Elizabeth taylor version of Little women too, I saw it as a kid and fell in love with their house! Very cosy. I also love While you were Sleeping as a proper christmas rom com. Enola Holmes is great for curling up to too!

I would love to see more lifestyle content as well. I feel like sometimes we want to take a break and enjoy the lovely space that has been created. Maybe more "Five Things..." videos, like "Five Books for Fall" or "Five Games (Board or Video) that you can play with one other person". Things along those lines. Even seasonal decorating and activities you enjoy as we get into the "Eat Lots and Hibernate" season! Kitty content always a bonus!

I am so very here for some future dark, moody cozy lifestyle videos with literarary, cinematic and culinary recommendations! Do you have a current fall/winter fragrance that you are particularly enjoying during this latter half of 2022? I've really been into Autumn Rhythm by Chris Collins, it's basically that Ray Bradbury poem about the "Autumn People" in a bottle, it's the bitter melancholy of a late November day captured in the cozy stitches of a cashmere cardigan. SO GOOD. And please don't feel like a fraud! I think it's natural for one's focus to shift, and beyond that--I think it's a good thing to explore all the nooks and crannies at the peripheries of a thing you already love! Maybe you started with studio apartment content, but it seems like you've got so many offshoot interests beyond that to explore about dark decor (that's actually how I found you, it was the dark decor, not so much the part about working within the confines of a smaller space.) Anyhow, folks tend to start feeling really stifled and boxed-in and eventually burnt out if they "niche down" too much, at least that's what I've observed after nearly two decades of reading blogs and then later, watching videos on KZbin. Give yourself some grace about outgrowing something that might not feel right for you anymore, and shed that old snake skin! I think you've got so many good ideas ahead of you and I can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Hi Steffi. If you're looking for video inspiration, can I suggest talking about how your life and style has changed (both positively and negatively) in your new space, especially because it is now a shared space. I must admit, as a single mom with three teenagers at home, I've lived vicariously through you somewhat. You had peace and quiet, a small space that was artfully decorated to your tastes and lifestyle, and only yourself to answer to. As a fellow introvert - such the dream! How has that changed with the new additions to your life? Do you feel as free to express yourself through your space as before? What compromises have you had to make and how did you navigate those? Also, maybe Hilo (is that how you spell it) could host a Hygge video? S/he seems to live that life. I'd love to know more about your kitty. Ciao!
