Yes, real wall art is the answer. Once you get real art, you will toss the mass produced stuff. I don't think the new art needs anything underneath it. It is beautiful and stands great alone. I also think the side table looks great with your coffee table.

The transitional wall for the painting. Hang the larger tray on the side wall. Next to the tv or in the space next to the window.

I totally vote for the transitional wall! And I don't think you necessarily have to have something under it - it's a transitional wall - putting something on the floor would break up the flow. I mean, I see it like a gallery wall - paintings in galleries look fine without things under them - at least to me! What could look good there, however, would be the small table you have behind your couch, but I doubt you want to move your whole room around for the one painting!

Absolutely the transitional wall for the painting. I would put the entire side table next to the sofa under the painting if it fits. Then put the new tray table in it's place.

In your video I saw several nice mirrors that would look good in your style. Maybe try a mirror or two. I did like the things that you purchased. It pays off to take your time to find just the right things even if you are distracted by a million other things.

When placing a fabulous piece near the TV the eye will be distracted when trying to focus on the program. I move pieces around and live with it for awhile. Sometimes what I see resonates within the soul, and when it doesn't, I move the piece to another location until it does, which is fun for me. The heart will let you know.

I'm going with dark academia all day every day. You get so much more diversity and detail in the darker colors, where those can be washed out on very light colors. Plus darker tones are often richer than their lighter variants

Hi. I would push the TV and what it is sitting on to the middle of that wall. Put the 3 small pictures that are currently sitting above the TV into the next room and hang them one under each other, going downwards singularly, instead of across as they are now. Then the lovely new flower picture hang to the left of the TV, so it looks balanced in that room. I love the new flower table placed next to the couch. The current marble one, pop into another room, possibly to the right of the TV. Have fun! Merry Christmas from New Zealand.

Love this! I gre up in an 1888 Victorian house. The Practical Magic house (and Addams Family and Beetlejuice) is a subset called Gothic Victorian. So dreamy!

The transitional wall allows the picture to be a statement within itself and the border offers visual space for the eyes to rest and not feel claustrophobic. Plus, you'll enjoy having a chance to stop and smell the roses each time you walk pass.

I personally like the painting best on the transitional wall between living and kitchen and the trays next to your sofa and on your coffee table !
