Thank you so much for writing this. I have struggled with depression that never truly leaves, just comes back occasionally, seasonally, and due to that I had struggled with doing hygienic things. I would go days without washing my hair or even my body. I did brush my teeth, but due to my lack of motivation I didn’t try super hard and because my teeth are naturally softer than they should be this affected them a lot. I have always been embarrassed to talk about this because I still struggle with being hygienic and because my teeth are my biggest insecurity. Your comment means a lot to me because it reminds me that I am human and allowed to have flaws, which is something I frequently forget. I have been getting better, though, I recently have been fighting my way out of another depressive episode and I feel better now.

1:05 1. It doesn't mean you have hygiene issues if your toothbrush looks like that. You could get it if you brush too hard, you chew your toothbrush while brushing or you have braces. 2. The back of your ears might be greasy due to EXTREMELY oily skin, your lotion or body oil.

Usually that is caused by brushing way too hard. People alao commonly use brushes with bristles that are way too hard, this is bad for your gums. You should throw the brush out once it starts to look like that, it will no longer work as well to clean your teeth.

I’d so some research before using the full “vagacial” routine-i do think it’s important to take good care of your vulva area and keep yourself healthy & clean, but an exfoliant scrub just doesn’t seem like a great idea for really soft, sensitive parts of your body. Maybe for the mons (the V above your privates), but I’d do some research beforehand. I’m not an expert, just wanna let y’all know to keep yourself safe!!💗💗

Read the book " The Vagina Bible" by. Dr. Jen Gunter. The vulva and vagina are self cleaning. The words "healthy and clean" are not needed. The Vagina is never dirty. Light soap on a loofah softly around the vulva, that's it. Nothing in the inside.

The vagacial is actually only meant for the pubic area lol not your actual vulva, that part is left untouched unless you shave/wax completely, in this case they just clean the area real quick before and after the wax and that's it. But for the pubic area they do all that stuff you saw, and it's smooth✨ after they're done lol~

Okay but just remember that a “vajacial” is not something you have to do to be hygienic. People who don’t do this are not unclean. You are not nasty and dirty if you don’t do vajacials. If you do them, never, ever put any of these types of products on the inside. Ever. There is literally no reason for that and it’ll probably just cause unnecessary irritation.

It could be nervous odor! I have anxiety and when you get nervous, your sweat and body smell way worse than regular sweat. If you have someone supportive, you can try to shower and chill for a while after your routine and then ask for a smell check and just try to be calm and confident. Also, experiment with different body/smell good routines while you have free time at home so you don’t have to worry about not knowing if someone doesn’t work and you’re out in public and it’s too late. Keep on researching and see what’s right for you and I wish you luck!

Is there an actually reason to wrap a pad like that? Because I always fold the bottom and top in toward the middle so the part that has blood on it is inside and you can’t see it. Then I place the pad (which is folded and like 1/3 the size it was before) into the middle of the wrapper and roll the wrapper up with the pad as well. And the little tape on the end will keep the rolled up wrapper and pad closed and then I just through it in the trash. I just don’t understand wasting like half a roll of toilet paper every month. The wrapper covers the pad so you don’t see any blood and it doesn’t stink. Is it just to hide the fact that it is a pad?! I’m really confused.

I love how this is labelled "hygeine advice" when a good chunk of these videos are just people showing off their horrendously expensive ♡ self-care ♡ routines or have nothing to do with staying clean at all lmao. Like for god's sake you do not need to put any special products on your vulva or in your vagina, coat your eyelashes in whatever nonsense, or put a million billion products on your skin during and after a shower to be considered ~hygenic~ Also it's weird that so many of these are about period products or shaving when, like, there's no unhygienic or unsafe way to have or manage a period barring not changing your tampons regularly enough (if you leave one in for days at a time or don't change it after you pee you run the risk of getting a UTI or going into toxic shock, which is potentially fatal), and the decision to keep or get rid of hair on any part of your body or the existence of razor bumps aren't matters of hygiene to begin with. Like, some of this is potentially good advice in terms of common courtesy or personal comfort but I feel like labeling the whole thing as "hygeine" is a misnomer to say the least lol.

1. Use either the wrapper of the next pad you’re about to use or old newspaper to wrap. Toilet paper works too, but that much ain’t necessary. 🌸 2. WATER AND UNSCENTED SOAP IS ENOUGH. The soap goes only in your vulva and wash quickly after. ONLY WATER IN THE VAGINA. 💦 3. ✨Body hair is natural and healthy.✨If you’re showering daily, trimming is enough to avoid pulling, which is the main concern. I would check out what actual medical professionals are saying because a lot of this advice is pretty not good. For example, a lot of products the women used aren’t good for the skin. The vaginal facial was super irritating and pores do not really “open/close.” That’s a myth. The final video was pretty bad. You should never use a razor more than ~7 times, conditioner clogs pores that could easily cause acne in the areas one shaved, and the fragranced deodorant (and this applies to the conditioner as well) can also irritate the area and I imagine could throw off the PH leaving girls more at risk for infections.

When wrapping your pad, don't make a T. Place the both pad and wrapper lengthwise and fold the sides of the wrapper in and stick it to the pad so the exposed edges are covered. That way, you don't need toilet paper. You can go the extra mile of a diaper bag from Dollar Tree in the baby or pets section, and a closed trash can for more privacy/scent control. I found a little one with the revolving lid at Dollar Tree that I use just for that time. Hope this helps someone 💖

@@yuhbuddy8866 trust me, I'm a medical student. If you don't want the absolute forest, just trim it with scissors; shaving removes any barriers for the bacteria and it makes you much much more susceptible to infections. The hair is like nose hair: it traps dirt and other small particles. Also, shaving it fully off will lead to a high risk of abscesses because bacteria will clog the pores, since its like a breeding ground for bacteria thanks to the discharge and warmth.

It’s the way y’all use all these products on your skin and then you’re gonna end up with wrinkly skin later on cause your skin doesn’t know how to take care of itself anymore, it’ll become dependent upon all those products. Seriously guys.. less products.

I... Don't think that's how skin works. Sure, there *are* components that can cause problems, mostly irritation or future allergies (like fragrances or products that are too aggressive for one's type of skin), but I don't think it's a problems of the skin getting too used to something.
@hemasingh9108
@hemasingh9108 3 жыл бұрын
@@angstbringer2992 actually it does work that way.. your skin hair and nails are designed to sustain itself for the most part by using what you consume to regulate it and keep it moisturized and everything.. your job is really just to keep it clean from the outside by simply washing it and keeping it in check in all other ways by eating right. For example, your lips become addicted to not having to produce oils and moisture for itself once you keep applying lip balms and such every single day.
@angstbringer2992
@angstbringer2992 3 жыл бұрын
@@hemasingh9108 is there scientific proof behind that reasoning? Because we *need* things like moisturizer if the outside is too dry, like in the winter and sunblock, always, because there is nothing we can eat that can protect our skin from skin cancer. Also I never use lipbalm, my lips are still dry if it's dry outside. Also my skin is doing great since I introduced Niacinamide and 0.2 Retinol into my skincare. I guess you *can* keep skin healthy enough with just cleaning it right, but I'm talking about the appearance. We can eat healthy stuff all we want, drink all the water we need, it doesn't mean it will always show on our skin. If it works for you, that's actually great. Some of us need a bit more help. My mother's skin is prone to melasma ever since she entered menopause. She can't just leave it be, because that stuff not only comes back, it starts appearing in other parts of her face if left alone for too long.

@@angstbringer2992 just came in to say but the other person didn't say one shouldn't use any products all when we need the extra help. They said for the most part. And they are right. Obviously special cases are excluded, like when it's something to do with our bodies not working how they are supposed to. Our bodies do get used to things. Like you already know with the lip Balm. Sometimes yeah we do need lip Balm but when you keep using it even when you don't need it your lips WILL get drier without it. How when you start washing your hair too often you'll eventually have to wash it more and more often(with shampoo) until it's everyday. (Not talking about days you sweat a lot or get actually dirty). Also food. I'm sure you've heard how people eat too much sugary food and then try to go on a more healthy diet and how hard it is. Or how people use certain medications(and "medications") and their bodies don't know how to function without them anymore after a certain point. Then there's athletesism and the absence of it. How you could maybe get tired from jogging for 10 minutes at one point but keep at it for a month and suddenly in stead of feeling like fainting at 10, you easily jog for an hour every day. I could go on and on and on. There is proof. A lot of it.

I cannot wait to get out my parents house because we're always struggling, hygiene was a brushed over topic along with many other things we didnt get into topics like sti's and BV etc. I wasnt even aware that the box is stretched and reshaped to push the baby out until I saw a random post on IG. My mother wont allow me to get vitamins since (growing hair and nails takes so long)((plus my box doesn't smell like fish but it doesn't smell clean even after I wash or drink tons of water cut out certain meats. There's still an odor and I've brought it up with my mom and she asked me what it was like and took no further step.)) For me I make it a thing to smell nice even on my period I dont have a huge iron or blood smell. Like I dont have a strong odor unless in in the restroom changing pads. BUT... on regular days, just using regular soap rn I'm using my African soap bar I wash twice the first time I dry off with a white towel to check for any more dirt or sweat and even the faintest discoloration makes me shower again. I dont sleep with my undergarments and I wear cotton down there. My garments fit perfectly sometimes loose my Jean's aren't too tight so idk what's going on. I kinda feel bad because I feel so out of place watching hygiene stuff when I dont get clean all the way. All I have is my bf and I do not feel comfortable talking with him about it. Even though he's aware of female anatomy and understands I dont feel comfortable. Plus I moved and I havent seen a single sign of cranberry juice so lemon water is next. But if anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

Another I learned to prevent raiserbumps at yo ladyparts is to shave with the hair, not against. If I dont get all the hair I usually go down diagonally, so the raiser cuts the hair, but doesn't cause ingrown hair. Definetely use shaving cream/oil/conditioner - anything that makes the raiser glide over your skin.

Most ofthis is just capitalism at its finest. Dont buy products you really dont need. Know the idfference between wants and needs. Our human body is made in a way that can cleanse itself from the inside. Only the outside needs gentle cleansing and that too a normal soap and water is enough, unless there are skin conditions. Also the food you eat would also affect your skin. So the inside affects the outside. Dont buy products beacuse they tell you so. If you could live well without that product for so long, do you really need it now? (This doesnt account for all things, some would genuinely be good rpoducts to make life easier, but quite a lot is just a trend that would pass by that when you look at it later in life, you would question your choices. For optimal cleansed skin, yes face washes and a basuc skin care routine is also fine. (Not necessary but okay, you got the money you can go for it) )

1:01 ok so my point of view I think that you don’t need that much tissue paper what I do is keep a separate cover to disposal pads I just roll it roll it again in the cover or the wrapper of the new pad and then I put it in the separate cover or bag it is usually just a plastic bag behind the trash bin

I don’t shave down there anymore because I have sensitive skin and I always hurt afterwards no matter what technique I use. So now I just use an electric bikini trimmer I found at Walmart for cheap to carefully trim down the hair really short, and then I just leave it like that. I’ve done it three times now and I’ve had no skin irritation because I didn’t shave down the hair too low. If a person shames you for having that tiny bit of hair, they shouldn’t even be considered an adult.
