Such a lovely home and holiday decor. I was just thinking, I don’t know anyone else my age (mid thirties) who does this in their home these days. Then I realized it’s because I don’t know any other homemakers. I’m only able to be a stay at home mom now that I’m disabled. We have really lost something in our culture to have both parents working out of the home 40+ hrs a week. We’ve lost the sense of home itself. These kinds of videos, and my home when it’s at its best, recalls traditions and care and keeping for the home that I have only vague memories of from my grandparents. I hope some of us can rekindle these traditions and instill a deeper sense of home and family for our children.

Are you familiar with stringing a cranberriy garland for the tree? This is generally a task for children. I remember as a traditional Christmas in Maine we did not do oranges but we did cranberry garlands. You may enjoy the look.
