We've also known Twelve Tales Conker 64 has been saved for a bit now. Back when Rare Replay was coming out, Rareware uploaded a video showing the history of Bad Fur Day and the even showed new footage of Conker 64, showing it running on what seemed to be an emulator. So Rare does have parts of it still.

Thing is, the only Twelve Tales footage they showed in that video was a build seemingly dated around its E3 1997 showing (the early hud and book menu match up), when it was just called "Conker's Quest". The build on Tim's cart clearly post-dates both that, and the 30-minute VHS build.

With Twelve Tales: Conker 64, we can't truly rule out that we won't receive it in the future. It's illegal for Tim Stamper to just dump the game online like everyone wants. But by generating such attention, maybe the hype is to be used to aid in negotiations to get it added to Rare Replay and Nintendo Switch Online.

Until we get the ROM of conker 64 it will never be considered found. I certainly don't think we should consider footage as found for a video game. That is setting the standard too low and it's a goddamn shame they didn't let us preserve a build of it to play

I know it's not the usual lost media you report on here, but two days ago the KZbin channel "Old Films and Stuff" uploaded 41 seconds of previously undiscovered footage of the lost silent film _Cleopatra_ (1917). Apparently, it was included in an online listing for an old toybox projector, having been snipped out of the film for use with the projector long ago. The channel's operator purchased the listing, then restored and digitized the film. Not the same as getting the whole film, but an extremely fortunate find nonetheless.

Wow two different people talking about these clips. Amazing. I just was commenting on the last post about this and the very next post wow what do you know. Yeah it is incredible that this stuff is still out there. But its cool when it is. Its so cool to find some of those pieces and seeing where film technology was at that time and the stories of discovery are always the best. I didn't hear about the projector but I heard it was stored away and no one just understood what was there somehow. But amazing anyway.

Blue Prints resonated with me since childhood when I watched Behind the Clues, I was curious about it as well as the Korean version of Blue's Clues I loved them so much (fun fact: I watched the documentary on Nick Jr Video while on vacation in Disney World in 2007) and the fact it's been uncovered made me jump for joy the morning I woke up to find out it has been found so I downloaded it right away

If you ask me, the Conner Twelve Tails video confirming it still exists reminds me of Doraemon 73. Even though all we have in terms of publicly available content are the intro and outro, several episodes have been considered found as we know that the prints have been preserved. I think what stopped them from going public is copyright, and I don’t know if they ever will be put online, but if select Doraemon 73 episodes are found by proxy of “print detected and preserved”, Twelve Tales counts as found by me and LSSQ.

There was also another piece of lost media that got found just last month and it was a 30 second animated “anti-hate/bigotry” PSA called “Hate Hurts You”. Which was created by an organization called the Jewish Chautauqua Society all the way back in 1974. It apparently scared a lot of kids that were watching it when it aired, although nowadays it’s not really scary albeit a bit unnerving to watch in my opinion. However, the full song kind of slaps though.

One piece of lost or canceled media really is from the canceled CatRoots n64. Ever since I've heard about the mysterious canceled game, its been a piece of media that I felt was really interesting as the cut spider pit sequence for king kong 1933. Despite the game being possibly lost completely, the one thing I was really interested about related to the game was the tech demo that was shown off at e3 2000, which included various scenerios featuring cats and mice. About a couple of months ago, i actually managed to find a bit more footage related to the footage we already have with a cat getting chased and attacked by a mouse with various weapons, and a small clip of the scenerio featuring the white cat getting attacked by an insane cat at the opera. I released a video that featured those clips

Stuff like this is why I think there should be a distinction between "Found" media and "Saved" media, because with this, it's confimed 100% that Twelve Tales is Found, as we know that it exists and where it is, however it's definitely not "Saved" as we don't know if Tim Stamper has dumped it, even if it's for himself, and even then we have no way to reproduce it which would lead it becoming harder to lose and thus, Saved.

I know this video is like a month old now, but one piece of lost media that I was really hoping to be found was just recently found and ROMs are/have already been dumped, and that’s the Um Jammer Lammy NOW arcade machine. For those who don’t know, Um Jammer Lammy is the spin-off game to the well known PaRappa the Rapper series, and it had an arcade game from 1999 that had been lost for 22 years up until the beginning of this year when it was shown that someone had a working machine. It only just recently got all of its footage uploaded to KZbin. The cabinets thought to have either been destroyed for not being popular enough or there was only very few to have thought to exist. So glad it was finally found, it seemed to be a case of someone not knowing it was even lost and was just randomly uploaded on Reddit.

I've always been really interested in lost media and archiving in general, and more recently I've been getting into lost vocaloid songs - which, shockingly, are pretty common. so many vsynth songs only have short vocarank clips, and some are so short that it's very unlikely that they will be found. seeing things that people have been searching for for so long finally getting found makes me so unbelievably happy, and I really hope that some of these lost vocaloid songs can be found too, and the community doesn't have to remake them according to the little that they could remember anymore... they're just not the same. I'm taking steps to archive certain things related to a niche interest of mine, because it's a collectible toy line with a TV series, and those tend to just disappear once they're over. I know one of the people who works on it and I don't want all his and his team's hard work to fall off the face of the planet any time in the future. I mostly archive the physical comics though, and work on scan-translations for them because they're all in Spanish or Polish and not English. right now, all of the show is still up though, and I want to keep it that way.

I'm just glad that at least one episode of the weird Wolfman Jack cartoon series was found. Sure, it's a rebroadcast version of Wolf Rock TV that's part of a Kidd Video block (we're missing Wolf Rock's individual end credits), but at least we finally got to see what the show was like. more importantly, we got to see why it was impossible to rebroadcast or release on video. There's a LOT of news at the top of the charts, celebrity interviews, and music videos that instantly date the series at the broadest to the year it came out. They can surly be edited out, leaving only the cartoon segments (the still frames of musicians that require royalties in the opening included), but it would leave weird, awkward gaps.

8:34 whoever wrote that LMA article for the third episode definitely shouldn’t have used produced. If he said he in the interview he wrote it, that is different from saying he produced it. Produced means you’re a project manager. You manage the staff, the schedule, the finances, the quality of work, SOMETHING that involves other people. A pilot tends to be written by one person on their own dime. There’s nothing to produce in the writing stage, since it isn’t a bunch of people writing it. It’s one. So… yeah, that script probably is on a shelf with some story board sketches that never went beyond that.

Yeah, it's a copyright minefield, the only thing that eases this is that Nintendo and Microsoft are on good terms, so if they also had copies, they could make some kind of collab and release it (similar to how we got Goldeneye on the NSO), but it's so unlikely that it'll happen.

Yeah its amazing every month or two I check this channel and its always the same thing and then I scroll the comments and there is that one person bringing up something old and historical and amazingly hard to find that was found or some classic piece that has a lead and is historical content. They maybe have one or two that will like it. But the videos and topics are always the same. A 20 second commercial from some Nickelodeon show was found. No one knew it was lost and most dont care but that and 50 others commercials, show intros and other Nickelodeon content are the topic of the video. I guess for this guy there is no other video content out there. It should be titled the Nickelodeon clip show. It would give a better description of the channel. I keep saying I wont watch anymore but I feel for that one commenter discussing historic or really deep lost content being found or a lead pops up. I try to give them a like and let them know your not alone. But find classic early movie clips or pieces are not only fascinating but historical. They usually show advancement in film technology or seeing some people early or starting their careers. So much fascinating stuff. But I rambled on for so long without saying those pieces are amazing. It crazy stuff over a 100 yo can still be found but stuff is out there. In vaults, attics, storage areas and basements among other places and watching it is amazing after all these years. So you are not alone friend, some of us are interested in more different and varied media. But I guess a 10 or 15 year old 20 sec commercial is important too. See you next month.

This might sound kinda silly, but I get kinda sad when lost media is found. Yes, I’m always happy that what ever was found can be properly archived, but watching the search being conducted is always so entertaining. It’s also fun finding new leads.
