Safety Tip: When using compressed air and a nozzle, wear safety glasses. Little pieces of dirt can blow back at high velocity and you don't want that crap in your eyes. 😎

Great idea. I would be tempted to use a vacuum cleaner before and after the air compressor, suck dust out from inside the esc. Did you use a simple car degreaser? Thanks for sharing.

I use a device called "Compu Clean" to blast air. It is better than cans and only about £30. Not as powerful as a compressor but not far off. Mine has lasted many years. You can also use it to clean computer keyboards...

Thanks for sharing buddy. 👌 I have the Air, but I'm always worried about Saturated electronics, so I just blow car with my mini Air compressor & I use a 2" Paint brush to get into nooks n crannies that harbour dirt, bearings & exposed Pinions, Spurs etc....This means that I end up Stripping my RC"s down regularly to clean all components, more than I would like as I hate having dirty RC"s, This would save SO MUCH time!! Q Please Brandon. I'm in UK 🇬🇧 what Product would you recommend here that I could cover whole car /truck including electronics safely? TIA. #Spool

Don't be afraid. Degreaser is safe on electronics
@THEMASKEDMASTER4 жыл бұрын
jason budd ✌🏻😎🏴I live in the uk too. We don’t have simple green. I use GT85 as a degreaser but you still need to avoid anything that needs oil or grease. Most of my rc’s are waterproof so I throw mine straight in the shower when I get back. Unless I plan to go out the next day too. Then I use the compressor to get the water off. Then I use a small brush dipped in GT85 to cover all the screws/hexes so they don’t rust. I don’t normally use GT85 as a rust inhibitor but it works well if you use it after every run. & like I said it’s better for rc’s because of the plastics & rubbers used in them👍🏻.

@jasonbudd2950Jag4 жыл бұрын
@@THEMASKEDMASTER Thanks for the heads up on the GT85 pal, I will check it out... I have specialist "Silicone" lubricant which waterproofs electronics, nourishing to plastics & more importantly its Safe with "Bearings" because as you stated, some solvent based like WD etc... Can remove grease from places you need like Bearings. I also worry about rusting out hex bolts etc... Not only looking bad but also once corrosion sets into hex bolts they could strip, then on the flip side if you cover them in a film of lubricant it just "attracts dirt" when you run the car, it's a vicious circle eh 🙄 Cheese fella 👍

Question is it safe if I use water on all electronics?
@InnovationRC4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't suggest it. I'd blow dust off first with air. Then use degreaser to clean the vehicle without worrying about electrical issues. Degreaser has no water in the ingredients so you'll be safe with that
@EricBurrus4 жыл бұрын
Another great video thanks! Do you ever apply silicone spray or WD40 after the clean is done? I believe you live fairly coastal as do I. I have notice rust can start on things like screws or scratched metal quite quickly (24-48 hours). I typically spray silicone spray all over once it is clean and dry and put WD40 around all the drive cups/bearing seats. I know the WD can collect dust but it is also a water displacement which I think is more important but I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!
@InnovationRC4 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of doing that as you likely saw the wd40 next to the compressor. But since I'm using the infraction for speed next, It will attract dirt and dust that I don't want. If you aren't going to use the vehicle for awhile then hit it with wd
@joshherrman32014 жыл бұрын
I hit mine with wd40 let it dip for a few then hit it ready good with the air compressor and wipe down what gets left behind with a microfiber. Just make sure that you get as much of it blown off as possible once its sits over night it doesn't seem to really catch dirt. Just my opinion not saying its right or wrong.
