Game looks good, but it does look like it could use a little more spice to the stew. Like an increase to bullet hell attacks. Maybe energy blades on the sword swings. Or like energy spikes when ads die

“Cannon fodder” enemies during boss fights should be stronger, or at least be more strategically inclined to defeat you, imo. Especially during fights with teammates. It’s an open world rouge-like; crank that difficulty up, Heart Machine.

It’s probably on default difficulty, but the bosses gotta be more intimidating, hard-hitting, and mistake-punishing if they can be taken down as a team. This one seems to have a predictable combat loop. I can already see myself solo’ing this game just to get a challenge 😞 Gotta keep that element if this is HLD’s successor

I sincerely hope this is the lowest difficulty setting, and if so it was a big mistake showing the lowest difficulty in your gameplay preview. This kind of game needs to look challenging and intense, not like you can phone it in and still win. Some aspects look great but this vid does not make the core gameplay look compelling.

The speed of the original is one of its best aspects. This feels so... dead. I was really excited about the announcement and I'm fine with the gameplay switch-up to 3D but this is very dull. The boss has a total of 5 attacks, 900 ads and 9 billion HP and I don't see the point of it. The pace is so slow.

He’s completely right, this boss shows no challenge and no pacing. Looks really disappointing, i hope the changes made will bring this game to life. These visuals are nothing special, and the beautiful fluidity of the last game looks lost…

Being this game’s predecessor was in 2D pixel art, I’m not overly concerned with the graphics, I just want that rush HLD delivers after slaying a group of pressuring enemies. 🤷🏾‍♂️
