I love Hyper Light Drifter. Is such an amazing game, so well done. It has some glitches and bugs here and there if you search them, but the art, the music and several sounds, the concept behind the game, the story, all the colors, the beautiful environment that surrounds you... Just perfect, like every piece of the game is balanced to give the most satisfying experience when you play it.

this is probably my all-time favorite run done at GDQ. hyper light drifter is such an important game to me, and i can't imagine a better person to do it justice than covertmuffin. your laugh and positive energy is contagious and it makes my all-time favorite game even more fun to watch. that group hug at the end was so wholesome! so much love, makes me so happy ❤️

You can tell this game is just so engrossing and stimulating for him. He gets so into explaining everything, it's inspiring. Also the jerky movements of everything in this game makes the combat so brutal. It's a blast to play.

Such a sad game. The guy who created this game has a really really bad heart. Idk if he is still alive, because the documentary that was done on him and this game ends in a sad way. Still, the creator mirrored his life into this game. The feelings of doing wrong, big monsters you can’t fights or know why they are there or why you are even fighting in the first place. Check out the Hyper-light drifter documentary here on KZbin. I think Netflix picked it up too, but still a great game, it had me in tears.. the feels were realz with this game.

With some time now since release, I can now say this is probably my favorite game of all time pound-for-pound. Hits every element perfectly - combat, aesthetics and atmosphere, replayability, it's really all strengths and it's clear so much love and care went into its development. I start a new file and take it near 100% at least once a year, and I pop into the arena or boss rush all the time for quick sessions.
