Wow! I mastered this game in the arcades, had most of the World Records around my county, knew all the tricks like getting the 🍎 on archery, the 8000 pts moles on pole vault, hardest qualifying was swimming at 45.00 secs, the final round

An absolute classic - fantastic port on the Speccy by Ocean (under their at the time newly acquired Imagine Brand) - its was years before I realized they'd had to drop an event to fit it into 48K :-)

@@SwitchedOn Yep, I never knew at the time - one argument for dropping that would be it was already in Daley Thomson the year before... the other being that as the last event, some players / reviewers might not get that far (in the arcades anyway) to realise it was gone :-).

It was by a guy called Jonathan (Joffa) smith (sadly deceased now)who did some cracking spectrum ports and movie tie in games with a very recognizable cartoon art style... Hypersports, Green beret and Cobra were all well regarded in the speccy magazines at the time

Played that game at the arcade back in the time and really enjoyed it! Will get it for the Switch but it scares me all that button mashing...

Is it 2 buttons to run, like the arcade or is is like track and field on the switch and you use 1 button to run?
