Hypercapnia (or high carbon dioxide levels) can occur over time, and the symptoms can be blamed on other medical conditions. For me, all my symptoms of shortness of breath, chest pain, sleep problems, etc. were blamed on a medical condition called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome abbreviated as POTS and was not investigated until I was nearly dead. #lifewithavent #pots #trach #ventilator

Is there no permanent solution for the tracheostomy tube? I subscribed to your channel as I got a lot of help from your knowledge and experience. I was on the tracheostomy tube and a feeding tube for 7 months. I remain forever indebted to you.

Hello My Dear and Precious Friend I am So glad you were able to see that other Pulmonologist that day instead of the one you usually see for that was a divine intervention for you to live. Praise Be to Jesus for He is Worthy of All of Our Prasies for you to get your Tracheostomy Tube and now you are able to breathe much better. What does it mean if you have all the symptoms of High Carbon Dioxide except for High Blood Pressure but you have Low Blood Pressure instead? Thank You for this helpful video for alot of people suffer with these issues and need help and you give them caring and wonderful help to see them live a quality of life.

Hello. Thank you for your kind words. Blood pressure can be a sign of high carbon dioxide. However, a person does not have to have all the symptoms listed if he has high carbon dioxide. A person can have high carbon dioxide and also have low blood pressure. I hope you have a great day.

I know you have the cuff down most of the time do you have to silent your alarms and do you have to turn your title volume up to compensate for the cuff deflation. Thanks
@LifewithaVent
@LifewithaVent 4 ай бұрын
Hello. I keep my cuff inflated most of the day. When I speak, I deflate my cuff. I use a Trilogy 100. The ventilator usually does not alarm when I deflate my cuff. I also have as many of the alarms disabled as possible. When I used the Trilogy Evo, I had a lot more issues with the ventilator alarming when I talked. If I use a hospital ventilator, I cannot deflate the cuff without the ventilator alarming like crazy! I have a secondary setting which I can use when speaking. It has an increased tidal volume. I do not switch to this secondary setting if I am only talking for a brief time because I usually forget to switch it back to the primary setting. But when I film, I often will switch the secondary setting to get the needed breath support while speaking.

Your wife is very fortunate to have you. Thank you for taking care of her. I have used the BiPAP setting, but it fatigues my breathing muscles pretty quickly. I am glad your wife is able to tolerate it for a few hours.
