Corvettes and Porsche gt2/gt3 best bang for the buck on the track. Bugatti hasn't made a "track car" since the late 1980s. Kongis have never made a track car. Maclaren makes wonderful track cars, but they tend to fall apart before the race is over. If you want a track car, buy a car from a company that runs on the track.

You can use over 600 on the streets and the higher HP builds like Calvo use Motec ECU that helps with the traction. The black 2600hp Calvo Viper has different map settings so map 1 might be around 1500 hp and goes up from there. For the higher map settings they use One Ethanol race fuel.

I just firmly believe it’s levels and those cars are on a different level (some are over priced for the performance but a majority are faster than the average guys built car (because most average guys build slow/ non competitive cars, they don’t know how to build a car). To all the "track car" comments: Bugatti hasn't made a track car since the late 1980s. Koenigsegg never has made a car that has won a real race (Le Mons for example). Maclaren cant make a car that lasts more than a few laps (even in F1). A cheap corvette from the 1990s is a better track car than most Hyper Cars. If you want to buy a real race car that is track proven and track ready look at a Porche gt2/gt3, corvette ZO6, Viper ACR or a Ford Falcon from Australia. All track proven, all have diferent budgets, and all have masive aftermarket support. No one, and I mean NO ONE ever going to track a $3 million, 4000lb Bugatti when the tires are $5000 each. Remember, if you arent rubbing, you arent racing.

One thing i would say is alot of the aspects your saying are spot on, but hypercar are versatile. They are 1200-1800hp cars that can be daily driven, tooken to the track and to the drag strip. Alot of those 2000hp cars cant even run one good lap on a track, they're built to go in a straight line . To be better then a hypercar you have to built it to either just be a drag car or a track car.

You’re proving his point. Being a jack of all trades, even a multimillion dollar version still means you’re a master of none of them. That point has been demonstrated in every M3 that’s existed. Yes, you can make a fast and great handling 3 series that holds people and stuff. But when compared to a light & nimble roadster, a van, a Hellcat, a small SUV, and a small economy car it’s terrible at cornering, holding stuff, drag races, towing/offroading, and sipping fuel respectively. BUT at least with the M3, it costs slightly more than the normal 3 series offering. In a hypercar, the cost is substantial and you lose money by driving it.

Obviously they mastered something if they can continue to break records at race tracks while building a car under strict regulations. To build a M3 to compete with a hypercar requires a lot of work I'm talking about a versatile car . Like I said to be better then a hyper car, you have to either build a car strictly to be a drag car or strictly to be a track car , and that's only one aspect. for example, Rob dahm has a 1500 hp rx7 to compete with those type of cars and he spent more the 250k on that car . Mind you most cars might not even be street legal at that point. Now if your talking about street racing then obviously you can build a car faster then a hyper car but even with that , that's only one aspect. A hypercar on the street is beating 9 out of 10 cars on the street. Most of these 1000hp and up built cars , spend more time in the shop and garage then the road .

In an interview Jay talked about how he went to a Ferrari dealer to buy a new one. They said he had to own a used one first and come back in a year. At Pebble Beach Concours he bought a 250 GTO if I remember right. When he brought it to Ferrari they said it was a replica even though he had all the paperwork from the original sale. The turned him away. On his McLaren 720 he had it at the dealer for standard maintenance and they boosted the horsepower for free by update on his ecu. I wouldn't call a Calvo Viper a shitbox, we're talking a $500k build at that level. The real difference with Hypercar vs a G Body with a big money build is the G body will go straight faster, but do EVERYTHING else slower. It's only 1 part of the equation, handling at a hypercar lavel is BIG money. A car you can hop in and turn lap times on pump gas with AC and no fuss isn't cheap at all.

It’s not always about speed but overall performance, most hyper cars are setup for track stuff like Le Mans not street car activities roll racing and digs or even legit 1/4 mile is a different environment and different purpose than what a hyper car is intended for, your comparison would be like me bragging that my 1000cc motorcycle that cost me 8k can drag a lot of street cars even up into the 1000hp range on highway pulls, just two different types like apples and oranges. But I get what you’re saying people do bring out the exotics to TX2k just to get drug by a Honda or someone’s crazy turbo v8 setup

I think this is what’s neat about cars, if you’re willing to put some work (basically strip everything out of a chassis 😂) of a car, it can be nearly as fast as you want, the main difference is one (hyper cars) are going to be far more safe and stable for everyday driving and track conditions, whereas let’s say some Toyota prius that’s all clapped out putting a 9 or somethin is gonna destroy super and hyper cars in a straight line 0-60

What kind of tires do you put on a 1000 + Hp daily driver ? The last time I drove a RWD V12, it was like driving on ice. I can’t imagine driving a 2000HP car without attending an intensive drivers course for THAT car and with that power it better be a manual transmission.Many people think they’re good enough drivers to hop in a powerful car when they don’t even know enough about the car they’re driving.
