There are those who'd argue the answer to that question would be that it's a bait. It's a curious proposition, because it says that by letting the game follow them stereotypes by the letter, the game would set the stage for taking a jab at said stereotypes. Kinda clever idea if you ask me.

Whoops, even though this comment is a year old I only see it now. You totally get it. Part of my goal for this series was to replace the often awful and misfitting original game OST with tracks from later Neptunia games, but Arfoire's theme from the original game was irreplaceable, one of the few tracks from the original that is wholly fitting. Most other tracks are far too generic to ever fit the vast numbers of situations where they originally played.

After playing rebirth: 1, i have to say, the original story is way better than the remake, not saying it's bad, but i prefer the better worldbuilding story, especially if it's the first entries of the series, the remake one just feels like "this is...., move on" rather than streching the details like the original

My wife loves this series. I personally don't care for all the boob jokes and innuendo. I prefer Final Fantasy, Tales series, Etrian Odyssey, Dragon Quest series, Persona series, and Disgaea where they focus on gameplay and story instead of sex jokes and revealing clothes.

@@SatoshiMatrix1 She's pretty cool. We sort of balance each other out. I'm a bit of a prude and prefer things like Dark Souls, Elder Scrolls, and Simpsons reruns while she loves things like Dead or Alive, Senran Kaugra, Monster Monpiece, and a bunch of HBO shows. :)
